More instructors of fiber-related workshops are including notices in workshop website and registration information that all attendees consent to be photographed or videoed for the instructors use (in marketing and social media, etc).
I implore instructors to stop this practice and instead seek consent individually with signed consent forms. This blanket clause is unwelcoming to those who then have to opt out for religious reasons, safety reasons. or copyright reasons.
Increasing evidence finds that reducing or eliminating meat from your diet and increasing plant-based foods -- especially certain types of #fiber, reduces inflammation and reduces symptoms from rheumatic diseases. Such as #rheumatoid#arthritis. Meat, on the other hand, increases inflammation. Fiber helps with the survival and proliferation of 'good' bacteria in the gut. This good bacteria reduces the amount of inflammation in the body. The less inflammation the better.

I now have both Metronet and AT&T Fiber at home. Some details for thinking of switching.
Both installs went very smooth.
Both are reaching gigabit speeds(900-920mbps actual)
Metronet uses CGNAT which limits portforwarding and can be a problem for some video games. (workarounds possible)
ATT gives a real public IP address and Support IPv6.
Both services cost the same. bundling can save some.

Is there anyone with a qualified #swisscom contact in my bubble? I just spent two hours to explain to swisscom that I'd like to have an Internet connection on an existing line and they insist that there is no #fiber in the house, while I am standing physically next to it.
It was down to the wire getting this quilt done today. Now it’s handed off to neighbors we are very fortunate to have. So glad they like it. It’s one of those projects that I initially struggled connecting with because I’m not drawn to pastels. But once I started breaking it up, cutting through with black, and switching the blocks up I became more attached to it. It’s December so that means it’s time for the #artadventcalendar! I’m hoping to share some of the things I’ve made in the last few years. I mostly work in #fiber, #fabric, and #polymerclay, with a tendency towards functional/wearable art.
To start with, I made this #solarsystem bag for a geeky coworker. (I’ve learned some things about installing zippers since then, but I’m really happy with the front design and embroidery.)
Finally got my second mesh router hooked up and patched to my new little office switch! Lemme tell ya, even with relying on a wireless mesh to make the hop to my office switch, I'm still able to pull almost the full #gigabit speed...and it's so beautiful!
Fiber optic cable is going to be laid in front of my house. Two workmen are operating a soil suction device in preparation for laying underground optical fiber cable. A high pressure water jet loosens the soil, which is aspirated via a large suction tube. The water is reclaimed for reuse by a cyclonic separator on the truck, and the soil is captured in a holding tank. Genius. #fiber#telecommunications
Question to people dying with natural eyes it there.
Last year I bought 3 skeins of wool (probably 100% merino, single yarn - if that's important). It was dyed as part of a demonstration about medieval techniques: open kettle over wood fire, semi ideal conditions, monitoring temperature etc was not perfect.
When I got them home I thoroughly washed them - at least I thought so.
Thursday and Friday is when T-Mobile Home Internet seems the busiest. You would think the weekend, such as Saturday or Sunday, but nope, Thursday and Friday is usually when the network acts odd. I assume this is when it is congested.
