Waited four seasons for them to do this throwaway gag on #Enterprise but nope, too silly... but invalidating four seasons of Enterprise by revealing that the whole show was a holodeck program run by Riker... That's a-ok
My next-Trek pie in the sky wish: we carry #StrangeNewWorlds straight into #TOS, and redo some of the best episodes from across those 3 seasons with modern sensibilities.
The core of some episodes are great sci-fi and they’d be stellar with contemporary storytelling, pacing, and production.
And while we’re at it, let’s address some of the more glaring misogyny from those 60s era eps. I have a hard time reconciling the Jess Bush Nurse Chapel with that of Majel Barrett.
The excellently reimagined external and internal appearance of the Constitution class seen in #StrangeNewWorlds is unique to the Strange canon and incompatible with the Prime configuration.
It's been such a long time since I had to do anything networking-related; probably when I was studying for my #CCNA many years ago.
Found myself recently having to delve into #Cisco Packet Tracer to help plan and configure an enterprise network with VLANs, SVIs, routing protocols and all that fun stuff.
It was at this point the true depth of all the stuff I used to know but have since forgotten came to light! Nice to re-visit those skills, though.
I just had a thought for all you #StarTrek fans out there.
Not sure you've realised this one yet.
There have been 9 ships called Enterprise.
7 of those ships have a suffix after the name Enterprise (A-G) and with the renaming of the Titan at the end of S3 of Picard being the 7th suffix on the 9th ship.
Just for funsies and a bit of nostalgia, I bought a model of the Enterprise D off eBay to decorate my home office a bit. It arrived today and I couldn’t be happier.
It’s cast out of pewter so it’s built (and weighs) like a brick, but brings back such good memories of watching TNG as a kid.
Now to find models of each USS Enterprise, Voyager, DS9, Defiant, Discovery, La Sirena, The Titans, Cerritos, Protostar, and a whole bunch more!
The question nobody asked, when #Picard took the #Enterprise D from Geordi's Fleet Museum with his buddies: Why were all the lights on behind all of these windows? There was no additional crew on board.
