#Bluez (#bluetooth) on #Linux has been kinda ass lately. Previously it went through regressions which caused some game controllers to no longer work on BT such as #DualShock4 and #DualSense when they were perfectly fine before. Just upgraded to 5.71 and now my Bose QC45 stopped working on BT too.
Update: Solved by forgetting and repairing the device, which still isn't ideal but glad that worked. Will need to test if the issue reoccurs upon next boot, otherwise I probably will either use Timeshift to go back, or simply downgrade all the bluez packages.
Another update: At least the update seems to actually have fixed the DualSense issue so that's nice! Haven't tested, but I expect connection issues with DS4 should be fixed too.
Remember all those reports about how bad Bluetooth was on the Mac Mini M1 boxes?
It's also bad on the Mac Mini M2s. At least on mine. My keyboard and mouse stay connected, but other devices (like my bluetooth speakers) drop all the time, random times, mid songs, etc.
I'm a bit pissed cuz all the "zero day" reviewers of Mac stuff claimed the problem was fixed. It is not.
I have to remind myself that zero-day reviews are basically useless for any tech.

@codinghorror Well, I use wired #headphones all the time and plug into #analog sound equipment a few times a week. It's really nice to be able to do that and charge the phone at the same time, all without any extra adapters or stubbornly combative #Bluetooth connections.
Maybe I'd be okay losing the #HeadphoneJack if there were multiple USB-C ports on the phone and I could buy comfortable #USBC headphones for the same price as the nice analog ones I already have.
#Bluetooth really is a pile of shit, isn't it? Connected my #AirPods to my #ThinkPad P1, and they become unlistenable when I walk through the open doorway of the same room barely 12ft away.
