Intentant fer una còpia de seguretat de diverses carpetes. Totes sumen més de 9k fitxers (vídeo i imatge).
Proton APP no acaba de gestionar correctament tants fitxers a la vegada.
Toca anar a poc a poc. Carpeta a carpeta.
Algú amb la mateixa situació?
Trying to make a backup of several folders. All of them add up to more than 9k files (video and image). Proton APP doesn't manage so many files correctly.
It's time to go little by little. Folder by folder.
Anyone else with the same situation?
"Based on 481 ransomware attacks from the Dutch police and a Dutch incident response party, we arrive at a number of key insights: Insurance led to a 2.8x higher ransom amount paid, without affecting the frequency of payments. Data exfiltration led to a 5.5 times higher ransom amount paid, without affecting the frequency of payments. Organizations with recoverable backups were 27.4 times less likely to pay the ransom compared to victims without recoverable backups.

Inspired by @jerry, I decided to get my (#backup) act together for my #postgresql cluster. Finally installed and set up #pgBackRest - a utility to make the horrible and painful job of backing up, restoring AND upgrading #pg slightly less so! Where has this thing been all my life?!
I’ve been playing around with NextCloud as an alternative to my Google Drive storage. I’ve chosen Hetzner’s Storage Share, which is essentially managed hosting for NextClould.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to back up you NextCloud/Storage Share data to a third party provider? I’m aware they have their own snapshots, but I want some insurance policy in case of account suspension, bankruptcy, or even just me wishing to migrate to a different provider.
If I was self hosting I could just rclone to S3 or something like that, but Hetzner don’t offer ssh access to these, and self hosting seems a lot more expensive.
It's the 10th and #RequestYourArchive day! Your content is special, and you don't want an instance server closure or misunderstanding to show you how much you'll miss all those stories, memes, or prompt responses you tooted.
Go into Settings > Import and Export > Data Export and click Request Archive. [Your interface may vary.]
Archiving takes time on your server! Set a reminder to ring later today or tomorrow and come back to download it.
Just came back from a client who had a 24TB RAID not start up (individual artist/pro); after calling me about it, found offsite backups had been turned off 2y ago and they hadn’t noticed “we couldn’t charge your card” email from #Crashplan so…no #backup
Success! I replaced the unit, moved the drives over and it fired up! 😅😅
That could have been VERY bad.
I got them set up on #Backblaze, we discussed local backup options and monitoring and all is well.
On va voir.
Bon, heureusement que j’ai encore aussi une sauvegarde partielle des trucs les plus importants, encore ailleurs.
During this weird period between Christmas and New Year, it's a good time to make sure your data is backed up. I've followed this basic structure for years, it's both robust and cost-effective, hope it's helpful. #IT#backup#tech#datahttps://videograndpa.com/how-to-back-up-everything/
Going to use the next few days to redo my #backup setup, after realizing my backup NAS is going to be offline for a while. Looking into #borg, or is there anything else that may be worthwhile? Already looked at restic, but borg seemed to win that comparison.
During the migration work to the new PC I found this guide by Jordan Williams on backing up and restoring OpenPGP keys using Gnu Privacy Guard (also known as GnuPG and GPG) useful 🎉
