I remade this YIPPEE #CCCFL (Cold Cathode Compact Fluorescent) bulb after it sold on Artsy, but then when I told the gallery it had broken #Artsy backed out of the sale. Hey they bought a different one in the end. Now I have a #YIPPEE bulb again.
The #purple phosphor is as evil as they come. Sooooo crackative, and with the chunky, tight font, basically every bend has to be perfect or it will break. Today an last night, I made about 10 of them to get this pumpable one.
I was photographing something else when this large Nassau grouper darted right in front of me. In a split second, I pulled the camera up and snapped a single frame as I followed the motion. I was shooting with my TG-5, which chose a shutter speed of 1/30 resulting in a (mostly) sharp grouper with a blurry background to showcase the motion. Very cool! Now to try a similar shot on purpose...
