I have a friend in the neighborhood who turned 99 today. I’ve known him since I moved in 17 years ago. In fact, he was the first person to befriend me.
I had some flowers sent over for his birthday, and I just got back from visiting with him.
He’s an abstract expressionist painter. Some of his work is quite good. Take a look. 😊
New #GenerativeArt releases on #fxhash have been comparably sparse recently, which gave me the time to look at some of them before they got lost in a flood of new ones — even though I spent way less time on it than usual (and than I would have liked to, but that's life).
I didn't find the time to write about them, though, but at least put my favourite iterations into a deca gallery (a pity they don't (yet?) support base chain).
I just released a new video piece. I called it INK because there's a lot of ink in the video and "Ink" looks so small. Sounds composed with Csound using a python script I wrote to analyze the individual frames of the video. I hope you like it! https://vimeo.com/932750036
#workinprogress#abstractart which started from the working title project of "thermonuclear cassette" has been something I've been obsessing over off and on for the last two plus weeks and I've rebuilt and re-obliterated it several times. I actually released a version of this as part of the #disquiet series (number 46) last week, but I'm still not happy with it. #art#mixedmedia
Very recent work from me, this is No. 305. I have always liked the art of Piet Mondrian, and this is my "with apologies to" tip of the hat and homage to him and his work, in a bright, cheerful color palette. You can find it here: https://jon-woodhams.pixels.com/featured/no-305-jon-woodhams.html
This is No. 330 (subtitle: Farlight), brand-new spiral-based abstract art from me with subtle details that will reveal themselves when viewed a little larger (click to view). You can find it here: https://jon-woodhams.pixels.com/featured/no-330-jon-woodhams.html
