Sticking with the blue vinyl, ‘Eat the Gold’ by Aircooled, released in February this year on Music’s Not Dead, is #nowplaying, and sounding superb.👇🏻♥️
This is a terrific jangle-pop record - ‘Fairweather Friend’, released in January this year by The Umbrellas on Tough Love Records. This is the Trolley Blue limited edition - 88/300 representing!
No difficult second album here - it’s fantastic, and well worth picking up! ♥️😀 #vinyl#vinylrecords#record#recordcollection#vinylcollection
Essential weekend listening as the weather heats up!
The first time I bought this album, I was 12 years old. I'd heard "Pour Some Sugar On Me" on the radio and almost immediately rode my bike to The Wherehouse and spent my hard-earned lawn-mowing money on the cassette. Outside of Pyromania and Hysteria, I didn't really stick with Def Leppard, but this album is absolutely timeless for me.
Yes imploded/exploded quite a few times over the years, and when it broke into XYZ/Asia and this Trevor Horn-led version, 90125 came out with a new, very 80s-commercial sound.
You've definitely heard "Owner of a Lonely Heart”, which was mostly a Horn composition for a solo album. Kind of last-minute add-on Jon Anderson gave it (and the album) a more "Yes" feel.
I dragged my feet getting this reissue, but I'm glad I found a copy. Really tremendous record and a fantastic pressing. Significant Herbie Hancock presence on this recording
If you're in Lancaster, but are not heading up to HighestPoint tonight, then you could do a lot worse than joining #ProfDJ for some jazz-fusion grooves tonight, at Runner Duck Wine Room (King's St. Lancaster).
You can enjoy that sweet spot between soul and funk and jazz alongside some lovingly curated wine, and a great atmosphere.
