For all his service to humanity Mr Burrow merited nowt more than a MBE but Tory MPs Ser Philip Davies, Ser Bill Cash, Ser Iain Duncan-Smith, Ser Desmond Swayne, Ser David Davis, Ser Liam Fox and Ser Michael Fabricant were all gifted knighthoods for 'services' to Brexit...
What are your thoughts on self-diagnosis being belittled by many in the autistic community?
For clarity, I’m not asking to start a debate, just a genuine discussion. I currently don’t have the option to get a diagnosis, but feel fairly confident that the research I’ve done over the past year and a half has been legitimate and credible.
I don’t feel comfortable saying that I am definitively autistic, but I am ok with saying I’m “self-suspecting.” #actuallyautistic@actuallyautistic
@chevalier26@actuallyautistic sounds to me like you are trying your best not to offend officially diagnosed people, by identifying as self-suspecting. Not sure where you are, but in the UK it is difficult to get diagnosed without money for a private assessment. Self-diagnosis or (parent diagnosis, for children) is all that can be done whilst waiting four years to get to the top of the NHS waiting list for assessment #NeverVoteConservative#NeverVoteTory#toriesout
Imposition of Voter ID was a ritual humiliation imposed by instinctive authoritarians, for no better reason than an assertion of power at the very point they cannot yet fully control. When we walk those few yards from the interrogation & challenge to our civil rights to the booth, let us take our contempt with us.
Welsh Tory David T.C.* Davies is 100% convinced the Nastiz can win the next General Election. I can sleep with Brigitte Bardot; the probability I will is vanishingly low.
Typical Tory, he rants against the Welsh Labour government for building no new roads in Wales and for trying to enforce a 20mph speed limit replacing the urban default of 30mph.
I don't share political views with the conservatives on the SCOTUS, but I was under the shameful misapprehension that they were not unintelligent men, that they were capable of rational thought.
But I was wrong. Because not a single one of them managed to figure out that a President who is immune from prosecution for assassinating a political rival cannot possibly HAVE a congress who might impeach him. Do they imagine congresspersons do not fear death? #SCOTUS
@Remittancegirl
In its death throes, this UK government is being run like failing YouTube Channel; 24 Hour Churn of instantly forgettable sound bites, culture war clickbaiting, policy-free posturing.
@Shivviness
I was talking to my Argentinian cousin about their newly elected president.
He’d been in politics for 4 years, and gone into it with a lot of energy and principles he wanted to see carried out.
He realised after four years that the only people left around him with the ambitious ones.
With no principles.
Just ambition.
That is where we are.
When you reach the bottom of the barrel, those types start beating it like a drum, to summon their imaginary army. 😞
This was built back in the day when the lord of the manor could convince the village idiots he was wonderful by taking an extra shilling off them and giving them a penny back. It was a roaring success, they even built this column to his honour. Now, of course, the village idiots can communicate via the internet and worship the lords of the manor muchly morey and be even more stupid and put them in charge of the whole bloody country.
