I started over on my first #solo game of Scholars of the South Tigris as I was playing a portion wrong.
I can totally see why the weight is over 4 on BGG; there are a lot of things going on and you have to have a lot of foresight and planning to make things work out.
Hopefully I can finish tomorrow night and see how bad I lose.
An extra early game of Wayfarers this morning as I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. I did much better compared to last night. 76 to 76 (against the space AI) and I won the tie breaker.
Mt final panorama in Wayfarers of the South Tigris sure looks pretty but definitely didn't score many points. I think maybe it was the lack of space cards? Also, I went again the Journaling AI and he zipped right through the journal, triggering the game way quicker than I expected. But, I do have a much better feel for it now so I will try again tomorrow.
I've been listening to the OG Cyberpunk books, the Neuromancer series on audio-book during commute, and decided to make some bits for gaming, mini bases and a set of matching objective markers.
The AI didn't do near as well scoring study cards this time as I was a little more strategic in choosing parents that would keep his primary dice out of his hands. I also upgraded to multiple foxes earlier than I did last night.
Going to try my hand at #TheFoxExperiment for the first time tonight. Playing it #solo to learn the rules before teaching my wife. All I know is the rulebook is pretty large (33 pages) and the fox meeples are super cute.
Some of you saw my random posts as I painted up the Series 1 #miniatures of #FinalGirl but I've finally got them into a collected blog post. Not only are there just pictures, but descriptions of the styles, products, and colors I used as I went through this #PaintingMiniatures journey. Enjoy!
I also re-took the photos and really liked how they turned out. Stay tuned for the official blog post at www.boardgamebreakdown.com with plenty more pictures!
