Listen. Just for those Apple app authors crowing about how exciting #iOS17 is and how they’re starting to code for that. Even #iOS16. Just understand that iPad Air 2’s, and god knows how many other “legacy” devices that actually still work perfectly fine, CANNOT be updated beyond 15.7.9. I have my Air 2 open and on a stand with #Trello right now, and THANKFULLY #MonaApp also still runs on it as do many of the other apps I use. But please, PLEASE - especially if your app just does text or checkboxes or notifications, right - because you’ve been able to manipulate that stuff since iOS1 or so - PLEASE don’t make your app depend on minimum iOS16 or 17. Mona didn’t. Follow their lead.
People on older devices don’t give a toss “what percentage of Apple users as a whole are using iOSx”. Believe it. The Air2 works fine, as does my iPhone13 Pro on 15.4.1.
@MonaApp Question. When I scroll through my posts in my profile to see my media, the application just closes for no apparent reason. This happens after about 40-50 posts. Is this a known bug?
The sending of a crash report is unfortunately not possible. #monaapp#iphone#iOS
#MonaApp@MonaApp Feature request: when composing a post and using @ to tag someone, a people search feature opens to help find the correct account (very helpful!). But when using #, the search feature that opens is still for people/accounts. Can this be modified to open a hashtag search feature instead?
@MonaApp My friends and I find the Mute/Filter terminology/features in #MonaApp a bit confusing in relation to what we see if we log into the official #Mastodon web UI.
Some seem to correlate 1-1 and some seem disconnected. Like “Filter” on their site doesn’t’ seem to be available in #MonaApp in an equal way, but there is a “Filter” feature in Mona (that we don’t really understand the use of).
Filter in the web UI seems the most “decisive” way to block someone or hashtags, so I continue to do that, but I do it in the app sometimes too and then wonder if it’s being blocked when I go to my browser to use the web UI.
Is there a guide to what the various ways to block/mute items are in Mona vs the official web UI and/or what overlaps or doesn’t?
I just spent like 45 minutes making a Rose Pine (I’ll be making moon and regular dark mode versions soon) for @MonaApp; it’s meant for myself but I have it on GitHub for those who want to tweak and edit it (soon, them) to their own liking! #MonaApp#Mastodon#RosePine#Design
After flip flopping between different Masto apps for months. (Some I preferred on desktop, some on tablet or mobile) Each with their own +tives and -tives. I’ve dug down into the settings of @MonaApp and got everything working on each device just how I want it. All works and syncs great. Nice one @jonny_kuang. #Mona#MonaApp
Does anyone know how to follow hashtags in #monaapp? I have to go back to #Ivory to add them, because the hashtag sheet has no way yo add them and long tap on a hashtag just brings the mute feature. #mastodon#ThirdPartyApp#question#help
@MonaApp Is there a way to add PixelFed instances in the communities section of the Mona app? I keep getting error messages when I try to add one. If you are able to help, thank you. #MonaApp#PixelFed
And a dark variation called Bomb Pop. Again, maybe it’s summer on my mind. Mostly darkened the background and honed the number of colors throughout. #MonaAppTheme#MonaApp
This is based on my Pastelodon theme. So much so, I almost called it variant 2. But for some reason, I liked Watermelon. Maybe it’s because it’s summer. #MonaAppTheme#MonaApp
You know, it's been a day or two since I asked for #MonaApp for Windows and it hasn't been made yet. Very disappointed. Must have standalone app for Windows. Yesterday. (rapidly drums fingertips on table)
one quirk of #MonaApp is that tab bars fade when scrolling down and reappear when scrolling up, but i tend to be scrolling up most of the time as i catch up on my feed!
