I've recently been playing some #IngressPrime when a friend told me I might like it...
I'm still not sure about all of the options on the game. I just got to level 5.
I went with the "blue team" that seems less of a favorite, seeing their numbers. I've been doing my best capturing portals and all that. I dunno if there's any players near me, but I'd love to learn more about the game! 😁
Just a heads up:
Yes I'm a Smurf in Ingress Prime, a mobile game by Niantic.
But! I have to anger or hate towards players of other fractions. 😊
We need each other to level. To keep the game fun. For some healthy competition.
So while I Toot about Smurfing my town, I'm still very much open to chat with other players, no matter what faction you're playing.
Keep on leveling and grabbing those portals folks!
What's interesting about "free shitty games" in #retrogaming vs #mobilegaming is that in a way, I'm jealous of kids nowadays for having access to legitimately good actually free games and stuff like EGS offering premium games for free
...yet most actual kids seem to mostly be exposed to horrific gachapon or battlepass garbage.
Really, I'd take flash tower defense games made in a week over most stuff on the mobile stores. Or Destiny, frankly. Barf.
It's weird to me that Google Play Games on Windows 11 doesn't seem to be an opportunity to sell Play Pass to Windows users.
To me, that'd be the first possible thing. $25 for actual games for a full year, on PC, a mostly new market for most of the games.
There IS a much larger selection now I see, including lots of good older games like Jetpack Joyride, Death Pallette, Green The Planet 2. Mostly F2P focus still though.
#IngressPrime
Trying to Smurf my town. It's hard as I feel I'm the only Smurf here 😔 and there's some active red and green players. Which makes it fun, sure! But I'd also love someone to support my work. 😊
If you havent' broken your #gacha addiction yet I highly recommend it. At least for me just a week later I had already lost the daily urge to get my crap and realized "who cares there's no more possibility for a 'perfect game'."
And if you ever go back you'll noticed how disgustingly samey and grindy it all is. Like 40 daily actions you MUST perform and all of them largely boil down to navigating a menu, mashing through text and waiting.
Okay, friends. I need recommendations. It's about time for me to think about getting a new phone, but there are some things I love about my current phone that are hard to leave behind. For instance, I'm a bit of an audiophile, and my LG G8 has a built-in quad DAC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a native EQ app, and it supports both aptX and AAC codecs for bluetooth. Ideally, I'd like to find something around or under $500 (the cheaper, the better lol) with a comparable audio setup, but a more powerful chipset. Besides audio, I use my phone for normal phone stuff, lots of emulation/gaming, and making videos.
I'd really like a headphone jack and an easy bootloader unlock process for custom ROMs, but neither of those things are necessarily deal-breakers. High refresh rate displays are also very welcome but not necessary.
I'm in the US and these are the bands I need for service:
I honestly never expected to see anyone post a video of trying games on this tiny phone, but I'm here for it. I'm also genuinely impressed it's able to handle emulators at all.
Netflix is being really smart by investing more in games.
The average indie-sized game costs 50-700k to make, meanwhile they allocate 100-200M for a film. I'm surprised they're not yet advertising games on the TV app, but I predict they'll be pleased with the overlap between audiences.
I'm very ready for story-led games to get more attention and resource. They're 4-6 hour long interactive films for a fraction of the cost.
So #Sims 5 is confirmed (by the devs) to be a mobile game for the PC (and on mobile). Aka free to play but everything you want is in an in-game store. (and yes it will be playable with the same account on PC and mobile).
Just moved my account over. Getting more involved with #cybersecurity as my general direction for a potential career transition. Looking forward to connecting here but feel free to reach out through my other social profiles and chat apps!
I've finally managed to play this wonderful tank game after 10+ years: Vector Tanks Classic.
It was originally delisted because it's a Battlezone clone and got ceased and desisted by Atari back in 2011.
It's great fun and I love the way it plays.

Playdigious has worked with Bandai Namco Europe to bring the atmospheric puzzle platformer to iOS and Android with a port tailored for mobile devices to offer the most comfortable and immersive experience for mobile players.
YSK that there is a faithful 16-bit fan remake of Sonic: Triple Trouble, now available for Android. It runs beautifully on the RP2+ and supports both 4:3 and 16:9, so it should be a great experience on any Retroid handheld. (gamejolt.com)
