This is the most fabulous tree that I see every day. I have other favourite trees elsewhere, but this is amazing. #treesofmastodon
Also, less fabulous, this is where I sit to practice glyph hacking #ingress.
Newydd sylweddoli ei bod hi'n union flwyddyn ers i'n car farw (ar fy ffordd i'r gwaith) a phenderfynon ni fynd yn ddi-gar, yn lle gwario £1500 i'w drwsio.
Dydw i ddim wedi gyrru ers hynny, mae fy mhartner wedi benthyg car ffrind efallai hanner dwsin o weithiau, yn bennaf i fynd â ffrind arall (anabl) i'r dre.
Ar wahân i leihau nifer y lleoedd dw i’n chwarae #Ingress, dw i heb weld eisiau o gwbl, a ddim yn gallu dychmygu prynu car eto, cyn belled â fy mod yn ddigon ffit i ddringo’r allt ar y beic trydan.
#Ingress is currently ‘celebrating Earth Day’ by giving double XM for recycling items in the games. This means that recycling power cubes is twice as effective than just using them, which is a strangely mixed message.
It’s just a bit of fun, but if they wanted to make a difference, they should make playing Ingress by car more difficult: reduce the speed at which the game locks down from 40mph to 20mph, for instance. 😈
To be clear, playing #Ingress while driving is dangerous at any speed, is against the ToS of the game, and in most countries is against the law. But people still do it, and Niantec could stop them, but won’t.
@nic I’ve been in vehicles where the drivers are cargressing. Yikes!
It’s fun to imagine that Niantic could keep the speed limit in place but only for people taking public transit. A 20 km/hr limit would be fine for my streetcargressing! #Ingress
I'd resigned myself to being badgeblocked at L12, but by recharging resonators over the ocean, weirdly levelled up on the school run.
I hope none of this means anything to you. #ingress
So Niantic have announced that you can now recycle Apex boosts, but it'd be REALLY great if you could recycle the crappy fireworks, beacons and so on AS WELL, as they're a lot less useful than the boosts (except maybe the battle beacons, if folks in your area are into that kind of thing).
Is anyone out there still playing #ingress ? I came across a bunch of old chats in gmail (RIP Google Hangouts) and got all sentimental over the friends I made and fun I had while not ever sleeping. #ENL for the win
I don't mind them joining Overture... but it is kinda weird to me that they're not nor have they ever been corporate member of the OSMF... which is like.... Their entire business revolves around OSM yet they never contributed to OSMF.... and now they're paying Overture... hmm
Rhywbeth newydd yng ngêm #ingress ers i fi gael hoe bach: "dailies”, yn y bôn, tasgau beunyddiol sy'n hawdd eu cwblhau (wnes i'r rhai cyntaf heb symud o’m sedd yn y gegin) ond sy'n debyg i denu pobl yn ôl i'r gêm.
Ro'n i ar fin rhoi'r ffidl yn y to, a bod yn onest, ond yn lle hynny, dw i nawr yn wneud cynllun ar gyfer chwarae yfory yn Aberaeron, ac efallai wythnos nesa pan fyddwn ni'n aros yn Wdig/Abergwaun.
Ro’n i’n meddwl ei fod yn drueni iddyn nhw ei phlannu bach yn rhy agos at yr eglwys, wedyn sylweddoli taw’r eglwys sy wedi’i phlannu yn rhy agos at y goeden.
Ymweliad wrth i fi chwarae #ingress y bore ‘ma tra bod y wejen yng Nghaffi Trwsio Llandoch. (Ydy #RepairCafe yn hashnod yma?)
Teipo newydd ar borth #Ingress - mae fy nrôn ar daith yn Lloegr ar hyn o bryd, a newydd gyrraedd hwn o borth. Do’n i ddim yn deall yr enw nes i fi sylwi ar y llun o’r bwrdd gwybodaeth yn y cefndir
UPDATE: The service is accessible by its domain (#Ingress) as soon as I set the DNS server of my client machine to my PiHole. For other systems not using my local DNS (so outside my network), the domain remains unreachable. My suspicion is an issue with the Port Forwards, but idk what's wrong w em as it is.
Note: this may not be in the exact order. If the order to any of this is important, feel free to point that out.
I've added to #Cloudflare, to my zone (domain), the hostname foo pointing to my network's public IP.
I've deployed everything you'd need including #MetalLB (which determines the dedicated Ingress private IP), #nginx-ingress (type set to LoadBalancer instead of NodePort), and #cert-manager (with both HTTP/DNS clusterissuers). If you want to take a peek at how I've deployed/configured them, more details are on here: https://github.com/irfanhakim-as/orked.
I've added foo.domain to the closest thing resembling to a DNS server that I have, #PiHole, pointing to the dedicated Ingress private IP.
I've set my router's only DNS server to the PiHole's IP.
I've set all my Kubernetes nodes' (Masters and Workers) DNS1 to the Router's IP (DNS2 set to Cloudflare's, 1.1.1.1).
I've created a port forwarding rule for HTTP on my router with 1) WAN Start/End ports set to 80, 2) Virtual Host port set to its nodePort (acquired from kubectl get svc -n ingress-nginx ingress-nginx-controller -o=jsonpath='{.spec.ports[0].nodePort}' i.e. 3XXXX), 3) Protocol set to TCP, and 4) LAN Host address set to the dedicated Ingress private IP.
I've created a port forwarding rule for HTTPS on my router with 1) WAN Start/End ports set to 443, 2) Virtual Host port set to its nodePort (acquired from kubectl get svc -n ingress-nginx ingress-nginx-controller -o=jsonpath='{.spec.ports[1].nodePort}' i.e. 3XXXX), 3) Protocol set to TCP, and 4) LAN Host address set to the dedicated Ingress private IP.
I've deployed a container service, and an Ingress for it, using #LetsEncrypt's DNS validation clusterissuer.
Current result:
Cert-manager creates a certificate automatically and is in a Ready: True state as expected.
The subdomain (foo.domain) however remains unreachable, no 404 errors, no nothing. Just "The connection has timed out" error.
Describing the container service's ingress (foo.domain), shows that it's stuck at "Scheduled for sync".
#Kubernetes and #Networking experts - please tell me what I've done in any of this that were either wrong or unnecessary, or what I'm currently missing here for me to reach my goal of being able to get my container accessible via foo.domain through that Ingress. I suspect that I might be doing something wrong with this whole DNS mess I literally cannot fathom. I feel like I'm insanely close to getting this thing to work, but I fear I'm also insanely close of blowing up my brain.
cc: @telnetlocalhost (thanks for bearing w me and getting me this far)
@guamwatt Hi! Nice to meet you. I am L12 (recursed) ENL in Bandung, and sometimes Jakarta, Indonesia. It's hard to play #Ingress these days because I live in rural area right now 😅 But I try to play whenever I visit any new places.
