Thank you for posting this. Oddly enough, the sparkly mosaic inserted between the flagstone in this sidewalk is exactly what a visual migraine looks like to me. The intensely bright scintillating arcs resembling stained glass appear, disrupting my vision, then float across the sight for 30 minutes or so going off to the right or left.
I've never been able to describe it adequately to people, but here it is. Again, thank you for posting this!
Having a rough day. Multiple #POTS episodes, now with headache. Not #migraine though. I haven't had a day like this since starting compression socks. 😞
I woke this morning at 4am with a massive #migraine already in progress. Easily an 8 on the (relatively useless) pain scale. If this one had an aura, I slept through it. Ugh.
Got up and took some Tylenol. The pain has moved from acute severe to chronic annoying. Yes, Tylenol. Can't take NSAIDs due to #CKD. No Rx meds for the migraines as they don't occur often enough to meet the criteria. 🤷♀️

Heya it’s Friday! What are you all doin’? We are nestled into the ER lobby and hoping to get Drew in for the migraine cocktail IV. Hoping we are in and out in less than 6 hours or so. Hospital expecting a big rush because the NCAA women’s Final Four is here and the local street party First Friday in Phoenix. He had his record 23 day migraine then 5 days none. Yesterday, blammo! It’s back. A STAT order for MRI is set for a week from now. #Migraine#Phoenix
Only 6 1/2 hours so that’s good. Drew feels better but out of it. Ahmed is tucking him in bed now. Just hoping that maybe we caught this migraine in time to knock it out with the IV drugs. We learned today he is going to have a hard time likely now on getting an IV put in. His veins are pretty small now. #Migraine#Phoenix
I am someone who gets migraines and have since I was 8. The reason was never uncovered, but I know migraines are more common among neuroduvergent folks like myself.
My question for you is this:
When you have pain, what do you do to help manage it so your emotional regulation goes out the window?
In short, I can be mean when I am in the midst of migraine.

I tried to recreate yesterday's scintillating scotoma. Actually I had two in succession - one moving left to right, the other vice versa. Particularly strong this time. At their peaks, I probably only had 10% vision.
I'm also having the usual post- #migraine aphasia and brain glitches, eg, my wife said she felt ill, so I put my hand on my own forehead to see if she had a fever.

J'ai réussi à ne pas m'effondrer quand mon énième rdv sans espoir - mais avec compte-rendu qui changera peut-être ma vie administrative - s'est repoussé. On est seul-e, sur des délais intenables à l'hôpital public sans payer de supplément (coucou les consultations privées autorisées) alors que c'est la seule expertise valable.
Je tiens depuis au moins 5 ans tous les jours quasi sans trêve parce que c'est ma 1ère pathologie reconnue, le reste on n'en parle pas, 25 ans de laissée sur le carreau.

My day not fun but Drew’s day worse: second nurse to our house unable to start IV for migraine treatment. He’s had 8 attempts in 48 hours. Thousands of dollars IV meds and supplies sitting here unused. Day 16 migraine. This is a nightmare. Of course it’s Thursday night and many if not most specialists are not in office Friday. Waiting for neurologist on call to call back. Thankfully Drew sleeping in recliner. #Migraine#Migraines
