The overlook at Pu’u O Kila Lookout on Kauai is always a site to behold. On a clear day the dramatic aged volcanic cliffs, lush vegetation, and ocean views of Kalalau Valley are a feast for the eyes. This valley used to have many terraced kalo farms tended by Native Hawaiians but is now a a state wildlife preserve.
