Many Republicans are mendacious & lawless, esp. #TFG. But this deceit, perpetrated by the MT senatorial candidate, should be disqualifying:
Sheehy’s latest account of his arm wound is one of several differing descriptions he's given of being shot while deployed. In his 2023 memoir, he wrote -received multiple bullet wounds in AF. In another -his body was hit by a bullet just once & lied to a park ranger *cited for illegally discharging a weapon in a nat. park.
Steve Garvey is the quintessential Trump candidate, he's a washed up "star" who owes money to many creditors, including the IRS & state of CA. He's a womanizer who was always a big spender. Garvey & #TFG are mega grifters.
CA Senatorial candidate, Garvey, per the Sac Bee, owes $350K in back taxes. Republicans don't vet their candidates bc there're always skeletons in their closets.
Garvey's debt problems have been known for years. From 2006:
The depravity of another Trump sycophant twisting someone’s personal story to smear Biden for their own political gain was beyond despicable. #KatieBrittResign
Most, but not all, unethical MOC are GOP, but the poll didn't incl. that fact:
MOC are last when it comes to their perceived honesty & ethics, acc to a new survey, which has evaluated various professions on these measures. The ratings are from a Dec poll that asked roughly 800 US adults to rate 23 professions.
Given that #TFG is the frontrunner to be the R presidential nominee, who most R MOC support, future polls may show no faith in MOC. Rs-already at 2%.
Bush did the same because he knew the Iraq war was BS.
Of course I know Democrats do this and have done it, but not for war and war goods, I don't think
"Christie was the last high-profile GOP contender who was fighting for whatever remains of the soul of a Republican Party that, for all intents and purposes, has evolved into an authoritarian cult of personality with Trump as its center—posing what the former governor described as a real and present threat to democracy and national security."
@wdlindsy The article was written before Christie was revealed to be disingenuous, like the rest of his party:
Chris Christie is courted by "No Labels' group for 2024 3rd-party pres. ticket.
No Labels expressed interest in tapping Chris Christie to run on its 3rd-party pres. ticket, a day after Christie ended his 2024 campaign for the GOP nom.
Have #MAGA House Republicans gone too far for 'moderate' Rs?
Vulnerable HSE Rs aren’t thrilled about Stefanik’s #J6 hostages remark. Many: distancing themselves from it -a sign that being associated with pro-insurrection sentiments is pol dangerous in swing dists. While commentators often assume the prosecutions of #TFG are only driving the GOP to unite behind him -plausible as his legal travails grow more serious -ensure: divisions grow deeper.
In 2018, Cruz didn’t take O’Rourke’s campaign seriously -nearly cost him his seat. He seems unworried about his 3rd campaign so far. He'll attack his opponents as disciples of the Biden, racist CRT theorists, open-borders... The hope for Dems this year is that Cruz is just as unlikeable—& vulnerable. Dems, incl. Allred & Gutierrez: laying the narrative groundwork to convince voters that he's a craven extremist... But Texas is...
Mullin claimed he only paid himself a $50,000 salary and "invested every penny" into his business. But he'd reported his private-sector salary at $92,000, with another $200,000 in income. #MarkwayneMullin#GOPLiars
