During his time in Angola prison, Gary Tyler learned to sew. After serving more than 40 years, Tyler was released in 2016. Now he’s using his quilting expertise to a new end: his first solo exhibition, on view in Detroit.

Seine Portraits und insbesondere seine Selbstportraits sind vielfältig, überraschend, kritisch und auch humorvoll. Eine rundum sehenswerte Ausstellung und ein ganz erstaunlicher Fotograf!

Today I had the pleasure of getting to know the work of the Cameroonian photographer Samuel Fosso. A good part of his work is currently on display at Museum Schloss Gottorf. His portraits and especially his self-portraits are diverse, surprising, critical and also humorous. An exhibition totally worth seeing and a quite astonishing photographer!
