LOL now I remember, Strawberry just crashed in the middle of playing a song. Not sure if the song is corrupted, encoded weirdly, or if there's some other issue at work.
#Kasts for Linux has had some updates since the last time I looked at it. They are now a viable alternative for me over #gPodder which has been unstable and unusable for the past year. gPodder used to very reliable, but things got so bad that I was seriously looking at #Clementine as an alternative. Very happy to see that Kasts has stepped up their game.
For the majority of my time on Linux, #Clementine was my preferred music player. I loved the shit out of that thing. Alas, it kinda died and times changed. As such I started looking into alternatives and for my setup, Navidrome was a good fit. But I wanted to get my ratings from Clementine to Navidrome. Should be easy right? Wrong.
I can't even blame #Clementine, because from what I've been reading, it's done in a standard way, but alas I'm struggling to extract them. Why the fuck would they not just store them as file[rating]?
And this brings me to the fact that the #id3 website has been down forever, so I can't look up the specifications and the #Mutagen website is fucking stupid! Everything is about storing and all I want is to fucking retrieve. Seriously, what the actual fuck? So fucking stupid!
Qu'est ce que vous utilisez comme soft pour gérer vos mp3, télécharger des podcasts et copier tout ca sur un lecteur mp3 ??
J'ai réinstallé #clementine, mais j'ai trouvé ça vieillot.
I have officially given life to TWO #iPods, an #iPodNano 5th gen. and an #iPodShuffle 2nd gen. by "#rooting" them (using #GTKpod and some other hacks) and allowing #FOSS applications which include libgpod to import and export songs.
I’ve had a subscription with them for 6 years now. Kinda getting tired of the cost:benefit ratio.
What I do like: Metadata, organization of the library contents, decent UI, mobile app support (Roon more than ARC, but ARC is ok)
What I don’t really need or like: Remote playing (controlling other speakers in the house), paying Tidal if I want good recommendations, kinda bloated and slow app
