On #CIBSunday here’s “Resident Evil”. This 2002 remake of the 1996 #PlayStation game was developed & published by #Capcom for the #GameCube as part of an exclusivity deal with #Nintendo. It retains the same gameplay as the original but with improved graphics. #Retrogaming
For #CIBSunday we continue my summer gaming journey. This was pinnacle arcade gaming here. Some at restaurants, others in actual arcades, this collection shared a moment in time when the home arcade experience was a ways off. #gamer#gaming#videogames#retrogaming#vidyagames
On #CIBSunday here’s “Die Hard Vendetta” for #Nintendo#GameCube. This is a 2002 first person shooting game developed by Bits Studios & published by Fox Interactive. The game is set 5 years after the movie Die Hard With A Vengeance (1995). #Retrogaming
Gradius Collection on PSP
For #CIBSunday Minds fren @roboqu4ck mentioned Gradius III as a fun summer SHUMP. Though I didn’t get into the series till later, I can see the appeal in this release. Played it till the UMD cover needing replacing 😬 #gamer#gaming#videogames#retrogaming#mastodongaming
#CIBSunday we’ve got Shadow Hearts: From the New World for the #PS2
FtNW was the third entry in the Shadow Hearts series, and the first game I bought over the internet. FtNW is an odd game- it has the classic hard-as-nails timed-hit combat the series is known for, but goes crazy town with character and story, the main drawback of which is some problematic depictions of First Nations people. Still, I have a large soft spot for this odd game with its unhinged cast of characters.
@boke
Thanks so much for sharing this. 😊 It's really interesting to read about games I don't know about yet.
I really appreciate it 😁
Looking forward to your #CIBSunday next week 😉
My favourite game for my favourite system. A game that changed my life. The first SMT game I ever played, which led me to playing Persona (and emptied my bank account)
This game is a masterpiece of game design and storytelling, with branching paths and multiple endings, and choices that actually matter. Plus stellar character design by Suzuhito Yasuda
On #SegaSunday / #CIBSunday here’s “Shenmue II”. This is a 2001 sequel to the 1999 original and allows players to carry over their saves from the first game, keeping items and fighting moves learned. The Japanese limited edition version is pictured. #Retrogaming#Sega#Dreamcast
On #SegaSunday / #CIBSunday here’s “Shenmue: Ichishou Yokosuka”. Yu Suzuki’s masterpiece for #Sega#Dreamcast was the most expensive video game ever produced when it released in 1999. Pictured is the Japanese limited edition. #Retrogaming
Another #CIBSunday item from my collection is #FlightSimulator by #Microsoft for the #IBM#PC.
It comes with the staggering amount of three 5.25" disks and complete manual and maps.
(Scribbles on the box by my grandpa which I consider a bonus.)
It's from an era when games still came with manuals. #retrogaming#RetroComputing
