My #PhD colleague at the #ANU School of #Cybernetics, @Amirasadi, has a session up for voting at #SXSW in #Sydney about the practical implications of #AI in #HealthCare - benefits, risks, dangers - and how to enhance health without causing harm.
If you're inclined, I'd really appreciate your help in voting for his session!

This was my first concert from an international band. It was at the ANU in 1997.
The idea of one of the biggest Metal bands ever playing at a Canberra Uni bar seems quaint, but that was it.
I had no idea about anything, and thought the support band was TOOL, guessing I just didn't know any of their songs. So I was surprised when they actually started playing a bit later.

Very interesting post by Dr Zena Assaad, from #ANU's School of #Engineering, on how her views on the academic use of #SocialMedia have shifted, particularly in light of #TwitterMigration:
#FinishedReading this fascinating look at how indigenous people around the world (but with particular focus on Australia) understand #astronomy , both for storytelling and for practical matters like navigation and tracking seasons - these are not separate concerns, as the stories act in part as mnemonics for the vital skills. Always nice to see references to #ANU scientists, in this case indigenous astronomers @karlienoon and Peter Swanton. #Bookstodon@bookstodon#IndigenousKnowledge
