@macmittens@sterophonick OFC it is a quality-of-life improvement to have the option to grab a binary instead if having to compile it yourself, and espechally on #i486-SX and early #amd64 machines I can see having an install take minutes or hours instead of days or a week as a undisputed bonus.
I do kinda follow the same with OS/1337 in that I want things to be provided as binaries ready to go but also make #reproducibleBuilds the norm and thus allow full verifyability of everything!

Ich persönlich empfehle Blicke auf #ipFire für [#ARM64 wie z.B. @Raspberry_Pi ] als auch #pfSense & #OPNsense weil diese auf #AMD64 / #ix86-64 - Standardhardware laufen, failover-Hardware - Redundanz unterstützen und neben Appliances auch DIY möglich ist.

Consistently getting double-digit hoirs of runtime even when torturing it is basically unmatched at either weight, price and/or performance to the point that many say this is the beginning of the end of #amd64 / #ix86(-64)...
Because any competitior that beats it in any of the categories fails at the other two...
I wounder if we'll see something with #amd64-based #Atom / #Celeron / #COREi chips similar to the NUC Extreme Kits for #Linux#PC's once the mainstream goes #ARM64 or even #RiscV-128...

@ki Angesichts dessen dass der Output kein #Copyright haben kann sehe ich das Problem nicht.
Hinzu kommt dass es z.B. bei Programmiersprachen nur eine finite Anzahl an richtigen Methoden gibt um etwas zu tun.
So würde ich identische Zeilen an #x86 - #Assembly in #NTLDR und #GRUB oder #SystemdBoot nicht als qualifizierend betrachten weil's auf #ix86 und #amd64 nur bestimmte Wege gibt Zeug in RAM zu laden und zu booten...
(Erklärung: viele Intelprozessoren weisen eine Anfälligkeit für Seitenkanal Attacken auf, so könnten User auf der gleichen CPU Daten anderer User abgreifen. Patches wohl in Arbeit, aber auf Kosten Performance)

You might - if you don't need #ARM64 but could also use #ix86 / #amd64 - choose some #ThinClient like a #hp#T620 which can be had for as little as €30 with power supply, optional stand, 4GD DDR3L-SODIMM and 8GB M.2 B-Key SSD.
