@icg937 unfortunately, it’s kinda common comorbidity with AuDHD. That said, not every psychologist can tell RSD and some specific ADHD/ASD issues (like executive disfunction) from depression. Some seem to have quite an outdated understanding of both. Though, if yours accepts that you have both ASD and ADHD at the same time and doesn’t behave as if they are mutually exclusive - that’s already better than most.
@olena This is the second time I go to that psychologist. Since my diagnosis in 2023 by a psyciatrist to last month I didn't go to any therapist. But both of them think ADHD and ASD can coexist.
What is the term for that type of inertia where you can't get anything else done in a given day because you have one time-specific thing on your calendar so you end up waiting until you do that one thing?
I know there are words for it. I just can't remember them.
@arisummerland I've always heard it as "wait mode". Typically specified with a qualifier to help NTs understand it's an ND thing, like "ADHD wait mode", "autistic wait mode", or "ND wait mode".

Kann mir jemand eine Antwort geben wieso bei dem gleichen Wirkstoff so ein Unterschied zwischen 'Nur für Erwachsene' und 'auch für Kinder' gemacht wird? #Pharma#Medikinet#Medikamente#adhs#adhd

Also, if you're planning to take ADHD meds, keep in mind, that you probably need a low dose.
I tried speed as a teenager and needed a surprisingly large amount to even feel an effect, but I only needed 5mg of either MPH or Elvanse.
(The rule of thumb is to start 1/4 of the dose and for caffein, that seems to be accurate for me.
I only developed the oversensitivity for meds after a crash.)
I mostly recharged this weekend. I opted to work at home today. No meetings afforded me to catch up on a few tasks and chores, too. It was sublime.
Son arrived home covered in clay from the baseball diamond at school. Under protest he stripped to underwear and was sent to shower. Clothes and shoes are being de-clayed.
Now he’s finishing schoolwork not completed this PM. He did pick up on the “it’s not time to talk back” vibe. So yay.
“AuDHD represents a blend of ADHD and autistic traits, leading to unique experiences and challenges. When the underlying needs of ADHD and autism interact, it can feel like a tug of war for the AuDHDer - Do I need routine or spontaneity? Newness or familiarity? Busyness or a steady pace? Though these examples are quite simplistic, they illustrate the internal confusion of the AuDHDer attempting to address their needs.”
