#Tulips don't last too long once they start blooming. They're still beautiful while dying off for the season. I like how their foliage changes colours.
Gave 2 more of our small, cute #Buddha#statues a Spring makeover. All were plain gray cement before we painted them gold. They look much better - golden! One in each #succulents planters😊 Sitting on our front porch steps.

I was hoping today was going to be the day, but we’ve had two days of rain, and in that time I’ve got double the number of flower stalks. And some of the stalks are almost 4’ tall.
@msquebanh I’m moving in a couple of months. I only put it down because the complex let all the grass die and replaced it with stones, which Milo (my dog) won’t walk on.
@Joe_Hill I hope your next place has more space for you to garden. I'm just very anti-turf microplastics because I'm a lifelong environmentalist & there's one municipality here - #Langford - that's used it almost everywhere & it's screwing up local ecosystems & killing wildlife.

@amiserabilist@Joe_Hill@MaJ1 Leading to thoughts of - should I only flip hair, when ponytailed, to look more like squirrel tails. I was thinking, not tying hair up could potentially scare squirrels by accident? I have never tried to flirt & possibly date a squirrel before. This is all new to me.

When I moved into this apt in 2016 thee were irises in the bed on the No side of my patio and a crappy cedar bush on the south. When they painted the complex two years ago, they yanked out the shrub but ran over the iris bed with cherry pickers and scissor lifts.
Once they were finished, I transplanted some if the damaged tubers on the south side and filled in the empty spaces with tubers from my friend’s house.

Last year was pretty meager, and the flowers changed from purple to yellow and purple. It looks like this year I’ll have the best bloom I’ve ever had. Up from 7-8 stalks to over 20.
Last thing to do is send some more paperwork to CRA & that should wrap Dad's files with them. E-file wouldn't go through for Dad's return - we think it's because he's deceased & we filed very late. I got some help getting other related tax stuff for my parents resolved this morning.
We ended up at one of the 3 tax offices that I used to work PT at almost 10 yrs ago. At one point, I juggled 3 jobs to support my family.
