@sepfeiffer@GottaLaff This is an easy list. The first three on the list believe they are exceptional and not like the others who are hated. These are the people whose friends say "you're not like those other [fill in the blank] people." And they eat that up. Dr. King wrote about these folks. They are in reality self-haters. See e.g., Clarence Thomas. The last 3 are reality avoidant. It's too hard and painful to think about what is true. And if true, they are wrong. Also too hard.
@sepfeiffer@GottaLaff What I've been learning lately, in my studies: fear dulls the higher thinking centers of the brain, channels resources to "survival" brain networks. That's why MAGA wants to keep people afraid. It makes their minds, literally, more malleable, less smart.

Trump has been bribing politicians for decades. He HAS to have all kinds of dirt on lots of people.

When Trump incites his base, you can be suddenly on the hook for millions of dollars in expenditures for private security, legal fees for spurious lawsuits, or covert sabotage of your personal life and your family & friends personal lives.
Trump's billionaire donors can afford the best domestic espionage outfits to destroy your life.
Just like he's doing to Fani Willis and many others.
The typical GOP operative like Roger Stone can bribe some low level partisan employee to release national security information or sealed court documents
Why else would the GOP suddenly want to drop post-9-11 mass domestic surveillance?
And now we know why a bigoted anti-democracy advocate like Larry Ellison was funding Tim Scott; to buy that endorsement for Trump, at an opportune time.
