Was soll ich dazu noch sagen, wollt ihr gratis Arbeiten und verstumpfen dabei? Ich überzeuge fast Niemensch sich von diesem Social-Media zu lösen, evt. hilft das.

@carlsetzer@pluralistic I’ve been reporting every single ad on Instagram as spam for over a year now. Every. Single. One. I wonder if I’m going to be able to do that to these ‘unskippables’.
Not sure what to do with my photographs. I used to rely on #flickr quite a lot, but it's been the same since 2000, and far from being the greatest solution.
I won't join #meta#instagram, been off from Facebook for 10 years, so I won't go back in this environment.
What's left? #500px maybe? Or #pixelfed could be a viable alternative today? Or maybe even turn my personal #blog in a platform where I can also share photos? 🤨 🤔
@pabuisson Pixelfed, as I know, is constantly improving. It looks good now. Many users I follow have accounts there. I even plan to introduce there person who didn't use any social media.
“Providing this data as input for Lavender undermines their claim that #WhatsApp is a private messaging app,” he wrote. “It is beyond obscene and makes #Meta complicit in Israel’s killings of ‘pre-crime’ targets and their families, in violation of international humanitarian law and Meta’s publicly stated commitment to human rights.
#Slack slipping out their "We're taking everything you post, upload, message about" etc. to feed their #AI (which you could only opt out of via email?)
It feels like this is just spiralling out of control with tech companies racing one another because they CAN with no-one thinking about if they SHOULD. 😖
It's a bit ranty towards the end, but there's some fascinating insights here into shifting sands of the ZuckerBorg's metrics, FarceBook enshittification, and so on:
Started looking at KartoView, Mapillary and Mapilio as ways to contribute to @openstreetmap KartoView log in with OSM doesn’t seem to work. Mapilio crashes when you try to record. Mapillary work quite well, then I found out it’s been bought by #Meta and now I’m not so keen. Any recommendations? #OpenSource#OpenStreetMap#DigitalMap#OSM
@ItsThatDeafGuy@geoglyphentropy it is so common in rural areas! I get it, they’re often one-person shops, and there isn’t really a great alternative, but it is incredibly frustrating to need to Facebook account (which I don’t have) to check the hours of a shop, or to learn that they’re closed due to an unforeseen family issue or something.
@plink
I honestly can't grasp why anyone would lower themselves to use the Zuckerberg platforms. They've been unethical and money-grubbing from the very beginning.
Uvalde parents are suing gunmaker, Meta and ‘Call of Duty’ manufacturer
The lawyer who won a record-setting settlement for #SandyHook families announced
💪two new lawsuits Friday on behalf of #Uvalde school shooting victims
targeting
⭐️the manufacturer of the AR-15 style weapon used in the attack,
⭐️as well as the publisher of “Call of Duty"
⭐️and social media giant Meta.
The lawsuits against
🔥#DanielDefense, known for their high-end rifles,
🔥#Activision, the manufacturer of first-person shooter game “Call of Duty,” and
🔥#Meta, the parent company of Facebook,
may be the first of their kind to
👍connect aggressive firearms marketing tactics on social media and gaming platforms to the actions of a mass shooter.💪🏽
The complaints contend the three companies 💥are responsible for “grooming” a generation of “socially vulnerable” young men 💥radicalized to live out violent video game fantasies in the real world with easily accessible weapons of war.
One of those men, the legal team argues, was Robb Elementary shooter Salvador Ramos.
The lawsuits allege
👉 Meta and Activision "knowingly exposed the Shooter to the weapon, conditioned him to see it as the solution to his problems, and trained him to use it.”
