timixretroplays,

I'm on a mission to collect and share manuals from QJ/STD/Interact's ProPad, ProgramPad and Programmable controllers for , , and PC. You could teach these pads to replay combos and pull off tricky moves perfectly every time with a single button press. Unfortunately they can be complex to use, and rarely appear with an intact manual second-hand.

So - got an old ProgramPad sitting around, but lost the manual? I can help! 🧵 👇

timixretroplays,

First up is the SG ProgramPad, model SV-437. This is a 3-button pad for the #SEGA Genesis and MegaDrive, with three more buttons that can be programmed with certain moves. You can find the SG ProgramPad's manual here (English only): https://archive.org/details/sg-program-pad-sv-437-manual

timixretroplays,

Next up is the SG ProPad 2, A.K.A. the SG ProPad 6, model SV-439. It's a 6-button #SEGA pad, with a few extras - the two shoulder buttons can trigger any combination of the six action buttons, which can also be toggled into auto-fire mode.

It's simpler than the big ProgramPads, but it's still run by discrete logic rather than switches, so it's worth documenting. You can find the SG ProPad 2's manual here (in EN, DE, FR, NL, ES and IT): https://archive.org/details/sg-pro-pad-2-pro-pad-6-sv-439-manual

timixretroplays,

The SG ProgramPad 2, A.K.A. ProgramPad 6, model SV-443, for #SEGA. This is a 6-button version of the SG ProgramPad - the four face buttons are A, B, C and X, with the shoulder buttons representing Y and Z. There's also the same 3 programmable macro buttons, as well as the screen and configuration buttons.

You can find the SG ProgramPad 2's manual here (in English and German): https://archive.org/details/sg-program-pad-2-program-pad-6-sv-443-manual

timixretroplays,

Moving onto the #Nintendo compatible pads. This is the SN Programmable, model SV-336 - it's an arcade-style controller for the #SNES, with a clicky joystick, shoulder and side buttons. It also includes a CR2032 coin cell to keep its programmed memory alive - I plan to make a video soon showing how to replace that.

You can find the manual for the SN Programmable (EN/DE/NL/FR/ES/IT) here: https://archive.org/details/sn-programmable-sv-336-manual

timixretroplays,

The fifth controller on the list here is the SN ProgramPad, model SV-337, a #Nintendo #SNES version of the SG ProgramPad 2. You can find the SN ProgramPad manual, in English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish and Italian, here: https://archive.org/details/sn-program-pad-sv-337-manual
