@Emmadrime I think the political class has no idea how these things tend to work. For example, requiring companies to provide self hostable servers and clients when they end the provision of a service (such as live service games, etc.) - basically burning any investment (time, money) made by a player is a pretty tough sell.

I've been writing to representatives about this for a while (in Germany) and never really got any sensible reply on it.

Good to see others care, too!

Yeah, that's a problem. Our federal representatives tend toward embarrassingly tech-illiterate, and the ones that aren't have bigger issues to deal with. This campaign might work though, if enough people get behind it. "They're stealing from us, here is exactly how to make them stop," is a clear, strong position.
