@CavoriteLizard If you haven't tried them yet, the Trails in the Sky/Zero/Cold Steel are a neat series, though if you want to see the whole story, it's going to take a long while

@CavoriteLizard Oh, FFXIII-2 is so much fun. I didn't remember that tri-Ace worked on that one. Resonance of Fate was really fun too, especially once I cracked the battle system. And if you like tri-Ace and have access to PS2 games, you need to check out Radiata Stories.

@CavoriteLizard both on my list. I never really "got" the mechanics of RoF when I played it around release

@coffeentacos I really liked the combat system of RoF, I feel like I really "got it" going through Lucia, which has an interesting boss battle. (Maybe even the most interesting, since the limited hero gauge and that terrain ended up requiring some interesting maneuvers for me.) I think the combat system's what I'm itching for the most; the turn based planning combined with the potential for real time action.
