@darnell@syuilo@darnell misskey has a company behind it, iirc, and no non-profit / community entity (though they could certainly do that)
You only tend to get the 100k donations with tax deductions, hence a 501(c)3 in the US, and hopefully the german non-profit will regain it's non-profit status
