Btw it would be nice to read or hear how opencollective works, what is your experience with this donating platform.

It is still a shame, that it looks like there is no similar donation service for crypto currencies, they would be much easier to control than fiat money, no 3rd party involved.

One of the most useful extensions for Firefox (actually LibreWolf) is Sidebery. Finally I can decrease a mess of tabs and make them structured.

There are a lot of features, but most useful are:

  • Rules for automatically moving tabs into "panels" (a grouping mechanism similiar to workspaces).
  • Foldeable tree view.
  • Rules for openning tabs in specific containers (combines well with container proxy and multi-account).
  • Integration with bookmarks.

Russia plans to ban crypto entirely except approved mining pools and crypto-ruble I think. I dunno how, but government makes everything to not to return there.

@dettlaff Уже не первый раз вижу, что условные анархисты в федивёрсе частенько прибегают к силе, рандомным обвинениям, охоте на ведьм. А ведь основа всего наоборот солидарность, понимание, возможность придти к общему началу / консенсусу.

Чел тригернулся на какую-то мелочь. Судя по дискуссии проблема системная + банить весь инстанс из-за одного человека это не очень разумно.

Анархизм это чисто созидательная вещь, а не разрушительная, грустно видеть столько бесполезной ненависти на ровном месте.

When I was using GNU for a long time I had many situation when I needed to install software as fast as it possible or I just wanted to try it out first before packaging. It is not easy task to do in Guix because it doesn't followed atm FHS standard.

For such situations I had several chroot environment with different distributions that I was logging in to use one application or another. And I think right now, is it a good idea to make something like guix chroot debian -- apt install

Пришёл мой Google Pixel 3a с Ebay. Доставка напрямую работает, никаких проблем с таможней не было, доставили прямо до квартиры. Буду пользоваться ещё наверное Ebay / Amazon.

Сравню с опытом доставки через сторонние сервисы. Там дешевле конечно, но ощущение такое, что там и гемора сильно больше может быть.

What are programming language in widespread use today that:

  1. have declared types, but
  2. types are only checked at runtime, no static type checking?

I believe you can make Racket do this, and it’s an idiom with old Scheme roots. I think? And don’t some dependently typed languages resort to runtime checks when static proofs aren’t possible?…but I’m looking for no static types, runtime checks only.

@Girgias agree about last paragraph. All code I see uses declare strict types thing and writing that everytime is very annoying, just saying that it would be nice to have strict types turned on by default and weak types explicitly like strict types.

  • simple
  • powerful
  • flexible
  • modern

The fun part about all of those words is that they mean absolutely nothing.

Finally built a Guix image for visionfive2. 1 Gbit eth0 doesn't work yet and only half of the memory is detected, but it's already possible to write it to a flash drive and get a working system.
