"Hands Across the Divide" is a sculpture in Derry, Northern Ireland. The statue was created by Maurice Hatton, and erected in 1992. It symbolizes reconciliation between both sides of the political divide during the so called "Troubles" in NI.

#RamadanMubarak for all who celebrate! In my class, #Ramadan always is an important family ritual for many children and they are happy to let me take part in it. Towards the sunset, I receive photos and videos of the prepared food at home via the school platform, and once we broke the fast together at school at beautifully laid tables and with lanterns in the windows. The children also celebrate Christmas, Advent & Easter with the same enthusiasm!

I am very happy that is a real public holiday in . No work, time to relax, go to demos, spend time with other and celebrate being a woman... Personally, we'll be painting our guest room with my youngest daughter, where we plan to welcome another young woman, an exchange student, very soon. Later we'll go out for dinner together and then snuggle up at home. No political actions this year, rather a very personal way to strengthen ourselves.
