Dans la Bible, non.
("avoir la foi" cela peut se discuter selon l'interprétation de certains textes, mais en tous cas ce n'est pas dans ce passage, encore une fois le seul explicite sur les critères appliqués au Jugement Dernier)

Even with 8°C warming (not impossible in the "business as usual" scenario, but not what's predicted) the number I've seen is 90% of the world population killed.

That's dire, but not unprecedented historically (that's the level of losses experimented by native Americans after colonial conquest, by Napoleon's Great Army in Russia, and by the Chinese Long March).

Certainly not extinction-level.

What is gonna happen by most accounts, is the massive displacement of all sea-adjacent communities, so around 2 to 4 billion people.
If we take an estimation from the Indo-Pakistani great displacement, that could entail from 20 to 400 million killed.

Very bad, but not "so much doom that we shouldn't think about it" nor "so much doom that everything we do is meaningless if we can't prevent it".

It's not clear whether China will let western capitalists burn the planet, nor what they can actually do to prevent it.
But yes, it's quite clear that the current leaders in the western world are not going to stand in the way of the fossil fuel industry, and the ones opposing them have so far not shown an ability to create the conditions that could allow them to impose their positions.

Greenland melting is +7m of sea level, IIRC, and Antarctica +40.

Yes, that's what makes a +8°C possible (though again, not very probable).

5°C is the difference between now and the last Ice Age.
We survived the change, and the change before that, all without the technology we have now.

+8°C, if it happens, will be worse, but life also is extremely strong, and the earth very diverse.

Could there be an alert (I guess on the "about:performance" tab) for runaway memory consumption pages ?
It already shows the memory consumption but it's not clear when it's just that the page needs memory to do its work and when it's running amok.

Aldo, very empirically I believe that plug-ins can sometime provoke runaway problems and there's no real tool to monitor it.

    Parce que ça a eu un grand succès historique, de parler aux racistes pour leur mettre le nez dans leur racisme.
    C'est comme ça que les combats politiques du passé ont été gagnés, c'est sûr !
    Il suffit de lire les expériences de militants qui ont fait un vrai travail d'éducation populaire et politique dans le passé, ils se sont tous plantés, ils n'avaient pas compris que l'important ce n'est pas la transformation sociale, mais bien de montrer sa supériorité morale...

    Nan mais je suis pas contre la discussion sur la stratégie/l'orientation (même si chez Ruffin, ce n'est pas de l'électoralisme à court terme mais une vraie volonté de construire une hégémonie culturelle différente), mais faire changer - non pas d'avis mais de références - les gens ça ne se fait pas en leur mettant le nez dans leur racisme, si le but premier n'est pas de mettre en avant sa propre supériorité morale mais bien de convaincre en profondeur.

    Il me l'a montré car il boote automatiquement sur le setup (bios American Megatrends - une compagnie indienne apparemment)...

    Le setup reconnaît ma clé Ventoy comme bootable mais ne bote pas dessus pour autant, même en désactivant le secure boot.

    Sans connaître le modèle, c'est difficile de chercher des informations !
