got a paper cut that wouldn’t heal for weeks

because I kept saying “well it’s just a paper cut” and wouldn’t bandage it up

until it got worse and worse

finally today it hurt just completing common tasks

…if only there were a common english saying that could have warned me about this exact situation

a few years ago, there was a local startup here in PDX I was interested in working on

the “nontechnical” founder was introduced to me through a mutual friend, so I was noncommitally giving them advice occasionally as a courtesy

but I kept wondering why they didn’t want me to actually work on the product

fast forward several years and someone told me they had been asked about me

they told the founder I was too expensive for them 😭

    the morbius video, in particular, was so relatable

    there was a period in 2015 when I went to see "san andreas" starring the rock so many times in such a short time that I had to rotate between theaters around oakland, SF, and berkeley

    Insurance plans that rely on ‘primary care physicians’ don’t work when physicians are burned out (just got my 3rd ‘I’m leaving’ email from another doctor) and i’m one of few who actually managed to get a PCP lol

    FWIW i really liked all of them (when I did have access to one)

    (If you’re coming here to say American healthcare sucks, it does, but consider that it doesn’t help me specifically in this moment and also that physicians are burned out lots of places)
