It would be nice if #GitLab would stop misidentifying freely licensed projects as having a non-free license (with no way to turn off the automatic detection, or hide the incorrect license badge).

I just read another news article about why mastodon didn’t make it and is dying. It’s very sad to hear and probably explains why I have to keep adding more server capacity to handle all the people quitting mastodon.

I think when I have some spoons, I'm going to try a project to build a Fediverse server that can be spawned in a container on any PC you have in your house + a cheap load balancer/reverse proxy in the cloud. Especially if it's just hosting my own content and usage, I should be able to run it off of pretty much any old PC and won't use much bandwidth either.
