This new (last) #Beatles song '#NowAndThen' is really quite good. And it's totally amazing how they grabbed #JohnLennon's vocal from an old #Cassette #Tape. The band really did get back together one last time.

Damn fine choice. Original mix?

I think that was a remaster. There are different mixes available. Some really good versions just appeared in the 50th anniversary CD box set - look out for the David Kosten mix. That's phenomenal. Original version but some of the sloppy bits tightened up digitally. Really nice.

Yup, I know exactly what you mean. However, I've heard several AMAZING bits of music making use of #Microtonality so I keep hoping for more of the same. #Mannfishh has moments like that in his music. Sometimes it's not so much the piece itself but just 'that perfect chord' at the end of a cadence where the differences from #12EqualTemperament can be heard to good effect.

On the whole, though, I find these 'odd' tunings hard to listen to outwith their best use cases.

Yup, I pretty much agree with that. I would say, though, that lots of people do argue the Platonic existence of abstract objects without invoking the God concept. I just don't go there, myself.

In any case, absolute epistemic 'nothing' is impossible just on logical grounds. Since there is 'something' how would there have been a transition between some state of nothingness to something? With neither an operator nor an operand (the definition of 'nothing') existence could not 'be'.

@markhughes

That sounds like a 'science is impossible' argument. I'm not buying it. If there cannot be agreement on essential logical premises and conclusions then there is no basis for conversation.
