Mobile is the dominant traffic.

We spend so much time on smartphones, it is insane!

But here is something interesting:

B2B SaaS traffic does not convert on mobile.

If you have a tight advertising budget, or need to prioritize design and assets for a single platform, then:

**Focus on the Desktop. **

Your business customer won't whip out the corporate credit card to pay for a Business Solution on a mobile.

I am complete. Thank you.

I truly enjoy using Circe JSON 🤗

The Refined types library by @fthomas is safety nirvana.

But combining the two, sometimes makes me cry 😢

jarek, to RSS

Remember Sadly, it is presumed dead. Beyond a core group of enthusiasts, there is little usage of RSS or Atom feeds nowadays.

☠️ Why did it die?
Social Media came along and took over our daily feeds.
There was no RSS reader bundled up ( removed support years ago).
Some claim it was shutting Google Reader that dealt a final blow.

Despite that, We added RSS support to the Wide Angle Analytics blog. The irony is that it costs us nothing. Enjoy!

Seriously. — It is 2023, nearly 2024, and when I say, "mailing list" do you have warm and fuzzy fillings, inspiring you with confidence?

Oh do you imagine "spam" and more "news letters" filling up your inbox?

They really should call it something else.

    What do you mean?

There is Element Chat. There is Forum. There is Mailing List.

I think I am quite sure what is the problem you are trying to highlight.

Adobe Fresco, Affinity Designer, Clip Studio Paint.

These are great commercial tools for drawing. But none are available on Android. Yet, they have the iOS version.

What is lacking on the Android platform for vendors to offer support for these really good drawing apps?

Samsung Tab series is really good with highend chips. It is unlikely to be performance.

    So what is going on?

If anyone is disillusioned that is a functioning , you should watch the previous and current season, "Tag It" in Europe.

The moment the Ben, Sam and Adam cross the German border we keep hearing about "Cancellations", "Delays" and confusing stations.

It is seriously depressing. You see players roam across without a single delay, and then 💥 boom in stuff starts failing.

It truly is sad to watch.

    Welcome to Autumn 2023 Day 09, 14 Sep, Nuits-sous-Ravières - Dijon - Nancy - Saarbrücken - Frankfurt(Main) – Berlin

    Today I’m crossing these borders
    Saarbrücken 🇩🇪 - Forbach 🇫🇷

    Map of today’s route

    Today’s Live Blog
    https://crossborderrail.trainsforeurope.eu/live-blog-autumn-2023-day-09/

    jarek,

@jon given how horrible DB has become, it is no brainer. Those trains break or are simlly not allowed to travel on foreign networks. So barely anyone ill use this “feature”.

Rather than populist move like Deutsche Ticket, maybe it is worth investing in modernizing and upkeep of infrastructure and rolling stock.

It is going to fall apart otherwise.

    jarek,

@jon Not really. In past year none of DB IC and ICE arrived even remotely on time.

Just recently my train from Berlin to Amsterdam was stopped on border and turned back because carriages were not in good enough shpe (Dutch didn’t let them in) and those broken carrieges went back to Berlin.

On the way back, the track between Venlo and Cologne had “damage” causing massiventraffic jam on tracks.I arrived home 8h late.

    And that’s just one trip.

    jarek,

@jon I think you are a bit shortsighted with you comment that Deutsche Ticket is not for ICE. It is general problem of infrastructure, no matter what type of train it is.

I am no longer taking train rides than involve any changes. I know that train will be either delayed, cancelled or …. What happened recently, reschedule to depart one hour earlier WITHOUT notification.

    Fix the railways first.

    jarek,

@jon do you have insight into how these stats are being measured? Years ago, there was a case in the UK that operator was fined by Ombudsmann because delays were reported without including cancellation. The stats suggested that trains were running very well, but in fact, they were being cancelled.

I suppose it's not rocket surgery to figure out which is the real me here. How/should one report these kinds of things for investigation? I never much cared on Twitter about imposters because reporting them never did anything. These are all using my Twitter photo for profile pics.

    jarek,

@briankrebs Any reason why you are not using verification links?

These seem to be a pretty decent mechanism to sieve through bulk of the spam.
