Here is the natural consequence of #Semrush inspiring all that #misinformation: people attacking me on #Reddit. This is one reason I fought to get this crap off the web.

One comment (now deleted) used my name repeatedly. I responded, 'Donʼt blame me, Iʼm the victim here seeing all this crap day after day since December.'

@nf3xn Maybe to a professional … although I must have hired six people to help with AWS and they were never heard from again. I think they saw a creepy Japanese girl come out of a well or something. Only about three people were able to figure it out, and the last one spent a few months helping me migrate all our data off.
I did a migration in 2005 by myself in a week, and needed one friend in 2012 to cover it in the same length of time.
I have never seen any user interface as shoddy as AWS’s.

I’ve been doing a typography and book design weekend class since Jan. Tomorrow is the last class. I’ve spent 3 hours every Saturday with other Berkeley extension students, doing something I feel completely out of my depth on.

I had a crisis about my final assignment and talked to the professor, who was like if I can teach you anything, not just about typography, it’s that you don’t have to be perfect, ever

Iʼve sent a press release detailing the misinformation Iʼve had to combat for the last four months to Search Engine Journal and Search Engine Land, including what was discovered with #Semrush. Neither publication has run it. Considering Semrush has 10 million users, youʼd think theyʼd want their users to know about a possible flaw. But, as I discovered with Facebook, the tech press will cover up this stuff unless you can find a journalist who cares.
