We return to a rich period for sci-fi TV shows.

In addition to Halo Season 2 (Paramount+) since last week, tomorrow sees the start of the final season of The Bad Batch (Disney+) and Constellation (AppleTV+). And The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy (Prime) arrives on the 23rd.

More in my sci-fi calendar:

Ever heard of the "Toledo War?" Me neither.

"It was a boundary dispute between the U.S. states of Ohio and the then Michigan Territory, and erupted in 1835 and lasted into 1836. At the heart of the conflict was the city of Toledo, strategically positioned at the western end of Lake Erie, and both jurisdictions claimed it due to conflicting state and federal legislation and surveys."

Huh. I just had a realization. I think one of the reasons why I've been struggling in my relationship is because my capacity to engage with my partner's special interest (music) exceeds his ability to engage with mine (computers and the internet), so I feel like there's a big part of me that feels unseen and unheard within in the relationship because it's not something we can bond over easily.

@actuallyautistic #ActuallyAutistic

hwestiii,

@spika @actuallyautistic have recently experienced the same and was forced to end it due to my own manifest unhappiness.

American writer & journalist Ida Tarbell was born #OTD in 1857.

She is best known for her 1904 book The History of the Standard Oil Company. The book was published as a series of articles in McClure's from 1902 to 1904. The work contributed to the dissolution of the Standard Oil monopoly and helped usher in the Hepburn Act of 1906, the Mann-Elkins Act, the creation of the Federal Trade Commission, and the passage of the Clayton Antitrust Act.

Sam Bankman Fried is really fcking up in court in the FTX trail :blobcatgiggle:

Trying to shift the blame to his former partners and acting like he doesn't know anything anymore from his time at FTX

Luckily most of the jurdy doesn't buy it as far as i know

I heard something about ~150 years jailtime thats hanging above his head :catblush:

Well, that's what you get when you basically steal billions of customers funds 🤷

‘Meta’ corporation is doing what it does not because it is owned by a billionaire but because of lawyers and the owners being a dunce.

Everyone's talking about the vaping and the groping but can we talk about Boebert dancing and singing in her seat?

Like does she just already know the words for all the songs in the Beetlejuice musical? How many times has she seen it? Did she get the album before seeing the show? Who the fuck stans Beetlejuice this much?

I've seen a lot of musicals and never sang or danced at any of them. It's not a bachelorette party, it's live theatre. Just sit in you seat and enjoy like a normal person.

I am beginning to suspect Darling does not like spaces in file names.

I have the DMG file and I mounted the DMG file, which has a PKG file to install.

    So I run

installer -pkg Example Name Here.pkg -target /

    But that gives me this:

Usage: installer [-help] [-dominfo] [-volinfo] [-pkginfo] [-allowUntrusted]
    -pkg <pathToPackage>
    -target <[DomainKey|MountPoint]>

And my thinking is because it is not ExampleNameHere.pkg it doesn't know what I am trying to do.

    hwestiii,
