A local bakery makes the most incredible cardamom buns that sell out in a flash. I really need to know how to make them so I’m on a mission to experiment with recipes.

Recipe #1 is https://cuitegoods.blog/versatile-sourdough-bread-2-3-2-2/ as it uses a honey glaze, as does the bakery. Not so sticky, but very tasty! I used both bread & plain flours, which gave a lovely soft crumb. Grinding cardamom seeds is a faff, but worth it.

On the hunt for recipe #2 now, so pls let me have your recommendations!

The #Uxbridge #Byelection has shown the Tories how well Climate Culiture War tactics can work: spreading #Misinformation about #ULEZ, branding #Labour “the political wing of Just Stop Oil”.

I expect the Tories will go for this full-on in the next elections, & the earlier we recognise & mobilise against this the better. Even if they lose these narratives are incredibly harmful #GTTO #ULEZ

@pvonhellermannn but wasn’t the ULEZ more about reducing air pollution & improving public health? Why is everyone dumping on it as ‘green crap’? Sure, there are environmental benefits, but basically the people of Uxbridge who voted Tory voted against having cleaner air to breathe! Oh but it’s not ‘their’ air so that’s ok.

Haven’t attempted tarte flambée or flammekueche for ages - kind of like pizza with a crème fraîche, onion & bacon topping, from the Alsace region (apologies to anyone from there if I’ve messed it up 🙈). The edges are a bit thick as I had to fold them to make it fit my oven tray. However, I absolutely love the crust so that’s a bonus!

A few more pics from part 2 of #SlowWays Plymstock to Salcombe. Restarting at Bigbury was not ideal - no buses of course (except on a Tuesday 🙄) so getting there this morning was a mini adventure in itself. Three buses (miraculously on time) & a lovely 5.5 mile walk along the Avon Estuary to the ferry. The continuation of the SlowWay was 10 miles through a landscape of rolling green hills & coastal valleys characteristic of the South Hams. A cracking #holloway too.

A road with deep, almost sheer, rock sides. Trees grow over the top creating a tunnel and blocking out the sunlight from the rock walls, which are green with mosses and lichens. A glimpse of sunlight at the end.
