@tomw If I had to guess it has something to do with the nature of the request being made. If it wasn’t a disrespectful play to receive something valuable that people spent many many hours crafting for absolutely nothing then I would be happy to respond in person (as I always have in over 25 years in business). But your milage may vary. 🤷‍♂️

@tomw it solves me having to spend more than 10 minutes of time trying to craft the perfect, polite and emotionally taxing reply. Note that last part especially. It also helps keep me from lashing out, which believe me, I very badly want to do.

Normally I wouldn’t hesitate to play Splatoon but given how well the Sox are doing and how fast games are over these days I have to really think about it.

Okay so the fan reached out to grab a ball that someone in the #RedSox bullpen had tossed up into the stands and he fell into the pen. 😢 Explains why the pitching staff was freaking out so badly. No word on his condition but he was conscious as they took him out thank goodness.

I have this feeling that's been stuck in the back of my head and bugging me for years. Perhaps I've just become an "old," but I feel like there's some kind of disconnect between what I used to enjoy about programming and what programming has become.

The troublesome thing is, I still struggle to figure out what the issue is, exactly, despite thinking about it almost everyday as small frustrations pile up throughout the day.

@bigzaphod @pgor @Verso I liken this discussion to how I feel about pixel-perfection in icon design. I used to slave away worrying about how an icon looked at 16 or 32 pixels. Every pixel, every color had to be elegantly placed and with purpose.

Then I slowly came to accept, begrudgingly, that very few people cared about this. As long as it looked “good enough” it was fine. I mean it still matters to me, but it’s difficult to care about it when it doesn’t matter to others. cc @piraino

Been using them myself for awhile. I like to cycle between different colors on my iPhone depending on mood and if the yellow case is on or not.
