OK. I got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon Prime Studios calling for someone named Todd Williams who wants to turn “Last Call” into something or other. Google doesn’t help. Anyone know if this is legit? Should I return the call?

    So, I’m wondering if anyone from Europe could explain something to me. Please keep in mind I am American who has enough trouble understanding our politics. My question is that it seems like Europe took a long deliberate time to form the EU. From the outside, it looks like a huge win. Then the UK jumped, and I guess at least one other country is discussing bailing. Am I missing the downside here? Or is this just politics?

    So, the hubs and I have a one of the long term couple debates about when is the best time to shower.

    For me, a shower is calming and relaxing, so I tend to do it in the evening or before bed.

    He says it's refreshing and energizing, so it helps him wake up, and get going in the morning.

    How about y'all, is it relaxing, refreshing, something in between, or something different entirely? When do you normally do it? Have you always done it the same or have you changed over the years?

    This is a subtoot of a sort, but I don't want to dip into some other conversation to interject with my opinions that aren't relevant to them. But, I really do wish fedi software overall (mastodon, firefish, and arbitrary clients) had notification stacking/grouping.

    Because, there was a real substantive change when I crossed 1K and again at 1.5K followers in terms of my ability to handle notifications. I've paired it down to mentions and boosts and I'm probably going to have to turn off boosts soon.

    I realize that it's within my power to fix this, and I may, but compared to other things I'm doing it feels pretty low on my priority list and I just wish it was standard. It doesn't need to be fancy, just grouping favs for each post and boosts for each post would do WONDERS for my ability to get nice feels without being drowned.

    @amy @Binder There are some clients that I find do better threading. I tend to suggest to folks to kick the tires on all the iOS and/or Android clients to see if that helps. With regards to Favs and Retoots, there is a crapload of repetition there. At the moment, I don’t have a good solution. I would like to hear any thoughts you have on better clients. I like my current iOS client quite a bit, but I’m always open to things that make the experience better.
