Someone said it's important say this publicly in the US: so I will. (And I think each of us should, online and to friends)

This November I will vote for Biden.

I would regard not voting for Biden, particularly in: PA, OH, MI, WI, IN, IL,VA, GA, FL, AZ, ME, NC, NH, etc. as a huge error. I'd be disappointed to find out anyone I knew didn't vote. It's one of a long list of things we need to do. We can't skip it.

And still? We deserve better choices, and in the future we shall have them.

@futurebird People have been saying and doing this as long as I’ve been voting. Nothing seems to chang- in fact our choices keep getting worse.

    As a trans masc who works with young trans femmes, what should I know that isn’t obvious/that most people don’t know about trans femmes? What are some less talked about elements of transition?

    I started medically transitioning in 2010, I went on compounded testosterone cream in the spring of 2010, and moved to injections in the fall of that year. I’ve done cream, gel, patches, injections and now implanted pellets.

    So far pellets have been the simplest method of administration. No residue to rub off on my partner, no bruising, no pain, no itchy welts from the patch adhesives.

    I have to wait to see my levels but purely in terms of process I would recommend pellets.

    Doctors and nurses and cancer patients are going to end up dealing with this, not whoever these people are trying to target. The rest of it, I’m out of words for.

    I don't expect the Taliban or ISIL to follow the Geneva Conventions or care about widely accepted human rights in general. Holding a demo asking them to please stop acting unacceptably seems pointless to me, as it seems anyone that would care about any of that would not have joined or remained in those groups, based on their past acts and declared intentions.
    By the same logic, I simply don't think it of significant effect to ask Hamas to follow the Geneva Conventions, etc. I don't expect them to ever have that intention and I don't expect them to care if people in general demand it. If the States of Qatar, KSA, Pakistan (and thereby also Taliban) and Iran would demand it, Hamas would probably start reconsidering, but that won't happen unless USA tells the former States they must or lose alliances and trade.

    The State of Israel should be expected to follow the laws of war and other commonly accepted human rights as generally supposed of every State for being a State. It is generally not expected to behave as the category of ISIL, etc. It should based on the previously stated also consider it as positive that people apply those different standards.

    One can of course question the legitimacy of States as a concept too, but that is a different category of question, on several different scales.

    @Adam_Cadmon1 Liberals can’t even define “assault rifle” meaningfully. The issue is fascism, not guns. Disarming leftists, especially people of color, is EXACTLY what will happen. Reagan supported gun bans to disarm the Black Panthers. The right will find loopholes to continue owning guns. They always have. Just this week leftists with guns disarmed a violent fascist at a pro-Gaza rally in Portland. The issue is NOT guns, the issue is fascists.
