What IS a big deal, I think, is Netflix, et al, not shipping a native app for Apple Vision Pro.

A key selling point for Apple is using Vision Pro on a plane.

Without those native apps, there's no easy/cheap way to watch a Netflix show on a plane.

That's an issue, yeah?

@bowreality @davemark I can't imagine heavily compressed video streams from Youtube or Netflix looking good on a giant room filling virtual screen through Vision Pro or any other top notch AR/VR headset tbh. What I can imagine is that Apple bumps up the bitrate on Apple TV+ content when watched through #VisionPro.

    At the dawn of computers, newsrooms thought their "content" is what made them valued, so they each needed special "systems" to "manage" it. They commodified content until it lost value; so did their CMSes. Here is word that Vox, which made a big deal of creating its own CMS--licensing it to other news organizations--is dropping it for WordPress. Newsrooms are not each so special after all.

    Maybe they figured out a way to block some parts of the app in Europe? 🤷‍♂️

    @viticci It is almost certain that #European users were locked out of #Threads based on their account location. #VPN or other means do not resolve the issue. If you create a new account while an US VPN is active, you can use Threads in Europe.

    @heiseonline Gründet fröhlich weitere Unternehmen, hat aber kein Geld um Gehälter, Abfindungen, Mieten und Serverkosten bei seinen anderen Unternehmen zu bezahlen.

    Wer bei Musk JETZT noch eine Stelle antritt, muss ziemlich verblendet sein oder seine Ideologie teilen. Beides traurig.

    @paul My network looked the same since forever until recently. I bought a roll of ethernet canle and redid my wiring. The improvments in speed and reliability are significant. Looking at your pic, I recommend you do the same 😄

    @WenigWorte Ich kann die Umfragetiefs von #Habeck und den Regierungs-#Grünen schwer nachvollziehen.

    Vielleicht hat sich ein zu großer Teil der deutschen Wählerschaft in den letzten Jahrzehnten unter #CDU #CSU bereits zu sehr an opportunistisches, populistisches und hohles Politiker-Getue gewöhnt und kann mit notwendigem Klartext nichts mehr anfangen.

    Hätten wir Habeck schon viel früher mit Regierungsbeteiligung gehabt, gäbe es jetzt nicht so viele schmerzliche Probleme & Baustellen imho.

    I think Twitter un-authwalled direct links to Tweets. Profiles, Search, etc... all still seem locked down. Guess they figured all their links disappearing from Google was a bad look.

    Fußgängerzonen sollten so gestaltet werden wie Duty-Free-Bereiche in Flughäfen!

    Einmal drin, darf man nicht mehr zurück und weiter geht's nur zwangsgeschlängelt durch jeden einzelnen Shop.

    Ok, I take this as proof that I live in a simulation and my instance is currently experience a kernel panic.

    There is simply no other explanation for everything that has happened in the last couple of years AND Elon Musks complete meltdown being considered as a prime example of great business strategies and transformation. That's just the cherry on top.

    I need a drink.
