@massivelyop There is something dystopian about role-playing a functional career and family life (complete with Baby). At least it keeps my favorite fantasy element: being a home owner.

@massivelyop All spite for Blizzard as side for a second, I think they failed to realize the value of the game. It's casual friendly and simple enough to be adopted to controller for consoles, with short matches on top. Most importantly, it was fun.

Kind of funny that the dimming of Blizzard's star has also devalued their heroes though.

@gamingonlinux With the humble bundle, do you get the latest PDF as they release or just the current? I know some update their main texts at times while others just release an errata.

I have wanted to try Call of Cthulhu for some time.

@massivelyop I really want to get back into #LotRO but I get worried with Amazon's new MMO and license renewals plus Amazon's involvement. Do I think Amazon can pay Embracer for exclusivity to the license once it comes up again? I think so. Amazon is evil. (says guy who just got a new ssd from them)

I just don't want to be hurt again. Warhammer Online's closure hurt me and while the team is doing great work with #RoR, the very first public quest I did had very bugged visuals.

@massivelyop @massivelyop I agree with Colin. Just "good enough." Although that's a sad bar for the year. I have heard GW2 diehards call it the weakest expansion the game has seen. I don't know enough to agree or disagree but when I was on last night I was told it's a safe bet to get the big pack and wait on this one.

I love ESO, and the Arcanist is the best thing to happen imo, but I would have loved to see a new idea in public quests. It still feels like anchors from 2013.

@massivelyop I'm all for this! My good friends, a couple, roll D20's to decide the pages we will cook from when I visit. I'm partial to D&D Dwarven food.

@massivelyop I just got this game! I'm going to play controller as well. I'm using an Xbox Series controller but I have my eyes on some third party options with extra paddles.

"I'm not remembering how to run..." I feel this.

@massivelyop My good friend has never hit level cap and we have played for 20ish years across many MMOs. They are a 10 for sure.

They play a different game than me, even in the same world. ESO isn't about saving Tamriel, it's about finding out where strangers got their pants from. WoW is more about "Wow, I love that greatsword!" GW2? More like, gonna need to buy two.

Their characters look fire though.

@massivelyop Little Orbit is great. They took over APB from GamersFirst and scrapped some crazy ideas and have been going after achievable things.

These smaller games with troubled pasts aren't sexy but they are often what I think of when I see end of the year awards flying around. APB always is the first I think of for character customization.

@massivelyop Yeah, good point. I had just guessed it was to get investors, otherwise I don't know why anyone would lead heavy onto something controversial in the open. I have had no feelings about it only because they have to show a good game first.

@massivelyop I cannot begin to express my love for the arcanist enough. The aimed book is a cheat code for fun.

The only wish I had is that the ability to open a portal was improved to deal with heights. I realize that's a tall order but it doesn't need to be perfect, but certainly better than it is. Even crossing a small body of water is most often impossible, and we are talking jumping distance.

The upside is Blizzard is mostly easy to ignore. They are like Ubisoft to me now, that is they use a template and draw within the lines for their games. It's all so aggressively middling.

@massivelyop I dove into #ReturnofReckning to relive my #WarhammerOnline glory days. It was very cool to see the dwarf city completed by the fans who love the game.

There is still work to be done, especially on some public quests, but it's very lively. My only gripe is there needs to be a bridge for the renown rank gap. I was face rolled so hard by the vets.

@massivelyop I want to play New World, but I also want native controller support. What happened since 2021?

Same goes for Guild Wars 2, albeit I play that one. Both seem perfect for it. Do they hate money?

Custom configurations are a bandaid and never play well once you need to do more than combat.

@massivelyop #APB Reloaded hands down. Just search for some outfits through your preferred search engine. Texture editor, symbol placement, music maker, custom tattoos and more. The game has no grace in how it introduces new players to the world, but sticking it out is a customization treat for the artistically inclined. Alternately, buy and sell customized clothes on the market.

@ryanhoulihan I just watched the entire #Scream franchise and have 7,000 words of notes for a blog post I have to wrangle. I even suffered through the MTV series.

She was one of the better parts of the new blood in the series. It's going to be very strange to see their new lead gone, and I don't think shifting to Jenna Ortega will make sense but is the way I think it will go. Neve Campbell was also was cast out for the last flick over pay. So they lost their OG lead and their new lead.

@massivelyop I just had to look this up. I wonder why the characters only have facing left or right animations. At the end of the trailer you see the back of one's head looking into the distance.

It looks odd to be walking forward but running in a sideways motion. Like someone decided they could save half the character budget by not doing animation for running forwards and backwards.

Fighting looked good though and any platforming at all in an MMO is my jam.
