I wonder how much #web #business is lost due to potential #customers being sick to death of having to #reject #cookies all the time.

I wonder if there's a one-size-fits-all solution to having to sometimes turn off a revoltingly long list of creepy #tracking entities, when there's no 'reject all' button.

#today I'm very sad that I've had to take down a very well-attended bird feeder project, as it eventually fostered an outbreak of rats near the building.

While wondering how to proceed, it stuck me that selecting plants and trees to attract and feed birds, may be better in future than allowing the fallout from all the feeders to turn into a rat feast.

Anyway, that's where I am with it. Dreaming of endless acres of bird gardens.

Yea verily, 'tis true, and ye should try
To prove me wrong, and rectify my view:
That placing toilet cisterns ceiling high
Would guarantee one flush to clear all poo!

(Inspired by my constant experience of dismal toilet installations, that clog due to lack of a sufficiently robust head of water).

(Not that I approve of flushing sewage away with drinking water... superior alternatives are proven, please research :) )

#today was my ex father-in-law's funeral, which was well attended and fittingly up-beat to celebrate his fun-loving way of life. Glad my estrangement from his daughter didn't spoil any family friendships.

It never ceases to boggle my mind how we take life for granted, and how we think it will never end, until it does.

I feel we can never let go enough of our clinging to this life. It hurts one to expect more of it than it can offer.

Put simply, let us live lightly while we abide here. Peace!

A couple of Mastodon instances I am on are currently unable to serve #translation. I wonder if there's anything upstream of every instance's ability to provide translation? It's great when it works, but sometimes it's just not there. So I'm very interested to hear from anyone who knows how this works, and why it quite often doesn't.

I love it, as it lets me understand the world a little more widely. Is there anything we can do to make the translation function more ubiquitous and available? TY

    @vowe I wouldn't p**s on Zuckerberg or his creations if they were on fire. I regard everything that character does as sinister. Don't give FB/Meta any further oxygen, their regard for privacy and humanity is foul, and I'm idiot number one for falling for FB 15 years ago. Finally I'm locked out of my FB account with no human help available whatsoever, so I'll take that as a sign to burn that bridge.
