Eigentliche Abfahrt des #ICE590 um 18:46. Um 18:45 sind die Türen noch nicht mal auf. Die Bahnführerin lässt uns an der vordersten Tür Wartenden über die Notentriegelung rein. Mit den Worten "eigentlich wollte ich den Zug gleich fahren, aber mein Team, das ihn vorbereiten sollte, ist noch nicht da." begrüßt sie uns. Entsprechend sind noch keinerlei Sitzplatzreservierungen ersichtlich.
Ich steige ein, setze mich auf einen "freien" Platz.

7 Minuten später aktualisieren sich die Anzeigen auf den an der Decke des ICE4 hängenden Displays. Kurz darauf tauchen auch die Sitzplatzreservierungen auf.
Wer hat zwei Daumen und hat sich exakt die einzigen zwei reservierten Sitzplätze des Abteils ausgesucht?! Zum Glück ist noch genügend frei.

Kaum sitze ich in einer anderen Reihe, ertönt die Durchsage: "Wegen eines technischen Defekts an einem Triebfahrzeug verzögert sich die Abfahrt auf unbestimmte Zeit."
Von der restlichen Besatzung fehlt noch jede Spur. Ich vermute einen Zusammenhang.

Plötzlich, exakt 20 Minuten nach eigentlicher Abfahrtszeit, setzt sich der Zug ohne weiteren Kommentar in Bewegung. An der Begründung "technischer Defekt" wird beharrlich festgehalten.

Laut aktuellem Zeitplan der Bahn-App werden wir ein paar Minuten bis Frankfurt wieder aufholen. Das reduziert meine Umstiegszeit in die stündlich fahrende S-Bahn aber dennoch auf 2 Minuten. Sportlich für Frankfurt.

Ein guter Freund hat seit Jahren Multiple Sklerose mit jetzt rapide einsetzender Einschränkung des Gesichtsfeldes. Ich möchte ihm gerne, bevor er zu hundert Prozent darauf angewiesen ist, Screenreader und dergleichen näher bringen. Was ist dabei leichter zu verwenden und hat eine bessere Nutzererfahrung, Android oder iOS? Wie kann ich das Thema mit ihm angehen?

@matthiasott I register my domains through inwx.com. Great service, long list of available tld, good pricing. Webinterface seems a bit dated and not having the possibility to add a credit card or PayPal as automatic payment option is a minus, though. I get regular reminder mails, which tell me if my balance will be sufficient for the next auto-renewal.

😡🍔 Der Wutburger – Die neue Fast-Food-Kette

Neben dem klassischen Wutburger (mit extra Jalapeño und Habanero-Sauce) gibt es noch den Hutburger (schwarzes Bun oben, rohes rotes Patty, gelbes Bun unten).

Alle Produkte gibt es auch in Alufolie eingepackt zum Mitnehmen, oder wie wir es nennen: „mit Verschwörung“.

You know how, by default, the <textarea> field stays the same size when people type sentences into the form field? We are creating a new CSS property so you can style a form field (text-area and input) to grow fit its content —so you don’t have to use JavaScript to do this!

field-sizing was greatly preferred over form-sizing, but a lot of you suggested input-sizing... so let me put those head to head:
