I'm thinking of implementing a details/summary element to show/hide a list of links to legal documents on mobile. Is that a good idea? Are there any concerns in regards of accessibility?

All those YouTubers in their early twenties now using pixel fonts again in their video thumbnails – isn’t it lovely? ☺️

As a design student, pixel fonts used to define the digital medium typographically for me. It was basically what felt so new and adventurous about designing for the Web. Now the medium is back but with a totally different message: nerdy nostalgia…

@matuzo 108520175. Problem is, ICQ had multiple different owners and relaunches inbetween. And with the latest relaunch in 2020 they finally nuked their old user database, went full-tinder dating app, mail address as ID and are now a subsidiary of VK (former mail dot ru Group). So no option at all, I suppose...

@sarajw Up until the relaunch in 2020 I was still able to login with my UIN! Did it just out of curiousity, though, because nobody else was online obviously... ;)

What's the German word for a misspelled word that isn't recognized by the operating system so you have to copy and paste it into Google which immediately returns the correct spelling?

What is your approach when using logical properties in #CSS? They have broad browser support now, but supporting browsers that are more than two years old by prefixing and not using shorthand properties seems reasonable, right? 🤔
I mean, 91.58 % globally are not 98.34 %… 😉

Buying a solid battery lawn mower for a small garden is harder than expected. The very small models all look like plastic trash while the sturdy models all are for large gardens and/or professionals… 🤔🌱

I couldn’t be less interested in Bluesky - another Jack Dorsey experiment. As if we learned nothing from the past.

But it’s also interesting to see how Mastodon‘s flaws are now used as an argument. No quote feature? Instances are hard to find? We need an entirely new platform with better UX. As if this was unfixable.

It’s the restlessness of an industry that no longer seems to be able to overcome any form of discomfort and leaves at the slightest hint of hype for a new place.
