    Verfolge auch heute meine Erlebnisse mit der Bahn auf der Fahrt von München nach Berlin.

    Ich habe diesmal einen Sitzplatz reserviert, die Einstiegsstelle kann man mittlerweile komfortabel in der App nachschauen. Als der Zug kommt, steht aber ein anderer Waggon vor mir, weil sich die Reihung geändert hat. Und die App gibt dazu keinerlei Push notification aus und ändert kommentarlos die Ansicht...

    How it's going... Screenshot der Bahn-App wenige Minuten später, auf dem angezeigt wird, dass Waggon 22 mit meiner Sitzplatzreservierung jetzt plötzlich an Gleisabschnitt D halten wird.

    Aktuell stehen wir mit unserem ICE Sprinter nach ziemlicher Trödelfahrt außerplanmäßig in Dachau, weil erst noch ein an Wagen 26 gesprungenes Fenster geklebt werden muss. Ich frage mich, ob und wie schnell wir dann überhaupt noch sprinten können. Mittlerweile haben wir schon +20...

    Wagen 26 ist das Bordbistro. In welchem der Strom ausgefallen und deshalb das "Angebot sehr, sehr, sehr eingeschränkt" ist, wie gerade (nur in deutsch) mitgeteilt wurde. Ob da wohl ein Zusammenhang zwischen der gesprungenen Scheibe und dem Stromausfall besteht?!

    Ah, Meetingzeit allerorten hier im Abteil. Nachdem die Dailys schon durch sind, gehts jetzt ans Eingemachte.

    In der Reihe vor mir hat sich jemand vom DBV (Deutscher Bauernverband) gesetzt, der zu Beginn des Meetings in breitem Fränggisch darauf hinweist, dass bitte alle leiser sprechen sollen, weil er sei im Zug. Nur um dann das Meeting komplett über die Laptoplautsprecher laufen zu lassen.

    Maybe this year the time is coming where I put some ideas from the last 15 years to life. I had so many product ideas, that would’ve been easy to make, but I never did. Offering products is a very different beast than writing software. You have to deal with the pHySiCal wOrld 👀

    Ich wollte gerade in der App eine Abbuchung bei der DKB reklamieren. Einen direkten Button dafür gibt es nicht auf der Buchungsdetailseite, also rufe ich das Kontaktformular auf (also irgendeine FAQ auswählen und "Noch Fragen" anklicken). Welches eine Webview in der App öffnet, in der ich ausgeloggt bin. Beim Einloggen kommt der Hinweis, dass ich den Loginversuch in der App authentifizieren muss. Ratet, was den Authentifizierungsscreen weiterhin überlagert und damit unnutzbar macht?!

    @vanessa_otto Hui, ich wurde eben um kurz vor 7 noch vom Technischen Support wegen eines anderen von mir gemeldeten Fehlers angerufen! War aber gefühlt eher jemand vom First-Level, weil ich ihm noch den Strict Mode beim Firefox erklären musste und sein "Lösungsvorschlag" zu meinem Problem war, einen anderen Browser zu probieren. Was ich im Endeffekt auch ohne seine Hilfe gemacht hatte, allerdings sehe ich das nicht als Bugfix an... ;)

    Overly optimistic take on #COP28 The combination of the location, host comments, amounts of lobbyists and the ridiculous final paper exposes the fossil fuel industry like nothing ever before to a much larger audience. It leaves a more drastic „wow, this is fucked up“ feeling, even for those who aren’t paying too much attention.

    That’s at least how I try to see it.

    If you have a personal website: what platform, CMS, SSG, tech stack, or service are you using for it? Would you pick it again? How much technical expertise did it require to set up and make it your own? And do you have to do a lot of maintenance?

    @matthiasott Vanilla HTML, Vanilla CSS, FTP. From time to time older projects require LESS or SASS, so I compile those locally via VS Code plugins (or change the code in the source file and manually hack it into the compiled file to keep it consistent...). I have stopped using autoprefixer a couple of years ago. I am only working on the code of my personal pages, though...

    Mittlerweile sind wir in Stuttgart eingerollt, mit 36 Minuten Verspätung. Damit werde ich ganz sicher meine Abschluss-S-Bahn verpassen. Eventuell erwische ich noch die nachfolgende, die aber nicht die komplette Strecke bis zu meinem Ziel fährt, ansonsten muss ich noch eine weitere halbe Stunde warten...
