Tornado report... for Kalamazoo County.

What isn't described is that the emergency housing for those that lost housing is ending.

Stories coming out that some families are living in cars because they can't find replacement housing because it's too costly.

City of Portage contains Stryker, Pfizer, and is the shopping district/mall. In otherwords there is a lot of money in the area. The area that created and supports The Kalamazoo Promise.

Does this happen in areas which are more frequently hit by Tornados?

First world problems, but the control board for our swimming pool heater failed and a new one, if you could find one, would be approx. $1000. (It looks to me like it contains about $20 worth of parts.) Fortunately our pool guy had a used one he could swap in… We had a similar problem with our dryer. Cost to replace faulty board would exceed cost of new dryer.

Hey, regulators, if you want to go after people, get appliance manufacturers to standardize on Arduinos or Raspberry Pi or something.

I have no idea if there is some sort of valid reason why...

But it sure seems like a huge missed opportunity on the part of "gas stations" - to have not installed Charging spaces for EV's.

It is fueling. Doesn't matter the car. You still want to capture those $$ - both the fuel and walk-in convenience store $$.

Yes... for the independents - it could be a financial thing or bad future thinking.

The company stations might very well be the oil company not wanting to support EV's...

Still feels to me like "money left on the table"...

Interstates would be a good location - to start. That would help all the folks doing long distance travel.

I guess the local gas stations probably don't make sense due to folks charging at home.

You know those images of a planet on a net like surface and that the planet is cradled into a depression in that surface, and that if something is traveling by that planet, then it gets "bent" around the planet...

What if you shoot a tightly focused beam of light - just right that it gets bent around the planet and winds up showing back to where it started...

Would the human consider that light beam to have been sent from elsewhere? Or would they know it was their own light beam?

I usually do that "circle tour" every 5 to 10 years.

Somethings are still the same, but a whole lot has changed. Most obvious: trees are huge.
