Frame City Killer was due to be a launch title for the , though numerous delays and quality issues would eventually result in the game being cancelled by Namco in 2006. Could something be found of this once promising title?

Imagined Product Development conversations:

"CPU/CPU said thermals needed work, but Optical Drive said the drive was fine, so we decided not to make any changes."

"Mechanicals had a really solid case design, but Eject Button Guy was a little late and showed up with some great ideas, so we had to make changes."

"Video Connector Guy thought the back panel looked a little sparse."

"I've been assured the plasticizers are appropriate."

Holy "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" Batman❗

Had no idea this "turn-to-page" comic book existed for BATMAN: ARKHAM ORIGINS.

Just catalogued into THE VIDEO GAME LIBRARY:

I think for me it would have to be 4! As that’s close to my childhood but I always wanted an N64 so maybe I should pick that! Which would you pick!?

@MURRRAAAAY Of these I guess the NES (# 4.) However, my father was into computers a long time and had some old classics such as the TI-99/A. It's possible that before I was old enough to even remember things I actually used a controller akin to # 1.

I really have to say that even if you're into mobile gaming, the phone itself just can't be called a controller. I strongly disagree with 16. Also, not sure why "The Duke" was selected for 11. Many Xbox (1) users never saw it.

@MURRRAAAAY 4 I was an NES kid technically I started with 15 but I was so little I remember basically nothing of that system

What happened after the Lightmass Bombing in #GearsOfWar and how did the Locust react to this devastating weapon❓

This 2009 graphic novel bridges the gap between the first and second installment in the franchise.

Hat jemand Interesse an einer xbox360 Slim mit 500MB Festplatte und einem Controller? Die Konsole ist gemoddet (Aurora) sodass man Sicherheitskopien der Spiele auf die HDD machen kann.

I've spent a lot of time pouring over my #retroGaming #emulation #rom collection, but I am just now realizing how MASSIVE the #PS2, #PS3, Original #XBox, and #XBox360 libraries must be and I've barely scratched the surface of those. How does anyone have any free time to play new #videoGames when there are so many old ones you've never even heard of!?

It's 2024, and I still play a ton of Wolfenstein 3D every year. It's just a perfect game. My memory's not great though, and it's weird I STILL don't have much memorized even after playing these maps SO MANY times.

Right now I have the Xbox 360 version paused on my Series X in the living room and it's been sitting like that for a day or two, so Wolf 3D music is just quietly playing in the background. I realized I'm cool with this. My brain's always in Castle Wolfenstein killing digital Nazis anyway, why not have it as background music for daily life. 🤣😂🤣

Got a funny screenshot the other day. Not sure I've ever spotted when I've been exactly at 1% life but it happened and I caught it!

@jake4480 I have a whole "killing Nazis" scenario/plot in Slartboz. as my homage to og Castle Wolfenstein and film genre in general. complete with speech audio clips like Nein! Aufspice!Schweinhund! and a zombie-lich Hitler in hiding in Brazil guarded by a small army of big busted blonde Aryan fembots. BECAUSE REASONS

@jake4480 Little known fact: if BJ's health percentage is a single digit, he'll actually "drink" blood puddles to gain 1% health each. (Not defeated enemies - I mean pre-placed puddles on the floor, with or without bones.) Run over them just like medical kits and the blood will vanish and BJ will heal that tiny amount...

The Xbox 360 "Blades" dashboard was the peak of game console interface design and you can't tell me otherwise

@rootcompute btw, If you want to talk about nostalgia, don't forget XMB. An UI so good that KODI and Retroarch replicate it because it is so beloved.

I got a second hand PS3 in January, and you can't imagine how much I missed XMB. It does have a problem, though, in that it needs an update to support folders, since it was not designed for having too many digital itema.

rootcompute,
@rootcompute@mastodon.social avatar

@lonelyautomata This is a close competitor, the PSP holds a special place in my heart and PS3 is also great. I've had a PS3 laying around for several years that I'm thinking about installing custom firmware on soonish.

It's clear that the 00's was the best decade for interface design and it was all downhill from there. Wish we could go back
