Though they've been gone for several years now, within the walls of my grandparents' house, I could still sense their presence, hear their voices, and smell their familiar scents. Closing the door for the last time today marked more than just an end to my visits—it symbolized the closure of my childhood and adolescence. It's an incredibly sad day for me. Yet, in this moment of reflection, I'm reminded that the sun will rise again tomorrow. Life, in all its facets, continues to move forward. This includes the BSD-based mail system I've been diligently working on, which is nearing a significant milestone.

When I was in grade four and living in Musgrave Harbour, Newfoundland, the librarian wouldn’t let me read fiction books they deemed above my reading level. At home, I was reading stuff like Robinson Crusoe, but at school I could only sign out stuff like Little Miss Sunshine or Mr Happy books. Little-kid picture books got old, fast. I wanted to read Dick Francis murder mysteries because they had horses on the cover. The librarian vetoed it. They told me I could sign out any nonfiction books, though. So I signed out a book on dog breeding. One day, two dogs were humping outside the classroom window. Until the teacher made us come back to our seats, I gave a graphic play-by-play telling all the other kids what was going on with dog penis and dog vagina when the dogs stood ass too ass. Yesterday, I re-watched #Rocky as I was in a sentimental mood. When I was a child, we had all Rocky movies (part I-IV) on #vhs and we watched it like all the time. Was really weird to see it again.
And then I realized that the movie is already 47 years old and it blew my mind. I mean... "#oldmovies" are supposed to be from the 50s or before 🙈
I guess I'm officially old now 😄

Okay my lovelies, help a tired & brain fogged #writer out. Who can remember what they did for their seventh birthday? Specifically type of party, food served, what the cake was like, presents received. Was there a party bag and what did it contain?
I think mine involved a party in the village hall with a magician, a my little pony castle cake, and a hamster but I can't remember food or party bags.
